Woohoo! I'm back with this new chapter. Missed you all. I know I posted this later than promised. I'm sorry. Although it's short it's still slightly suspenseful and it's important to the story. But less talking and let's get into this.

10:00 am
——

"You never take anything seriously."

She turned beginning to leave when he stopped her bringing her close.

"What the hell do you want from me, Adrien?!" She yelled and he recoiled back. It came out harsher than she intended but she shook it off. He had done something much worse.

"Honestly..." her voice lowered "can't you just leave me alone?"

The words stabbed through his chest like a knife had been thrown into it at the speed of light. He knew he had to leave her alone and should. It was just so much more painful that way.

"Yeah, whatever. Just so you know, the only part I played in any of this was leaking your number. I didn't mean for someone to give it out like that..."

"Sure you didn't."

"If I wanted everyone to think you slept with me I would have just done it."

She blushed furiously hiding it by turning her back to him. That didn't help him from smirking though.

"I-I'm leaving Agreste. And you don't need to hide everything with your door....I know damn well what's behind it."

"Why do you hide your feelings for me? I know damn well they're there." He said causing her to stop herself from walking. She turned again swiftly. No mercy. Play it cool. This was war after all and she won every battle she picked. For some reason this time when she gazed in his eyes she couldn't read how he felt. It was like he felt nothing. Why was he staring at her like that?

"Let's get one thing straight from here on out, Agreste. I will never have feelings for you. I'd bet my life on it."

He held his hand out as if he half expected her to shake it. She shot him a confused look.

"I'll take that bet. Unless you want to change it up a bit. Y'know...whatever you bet on I'm pretty confident I can win." He said. She opened her mouth to speak almost completely and utterly speechless. "I-I'll-uhh..." she couldn't seem to finish.

"Ok, then I suppose I'll make the rules. If I win then you have to do whatever I say for a week. Makes sense since you'll like me anyway and I'll have won the bet. If you win, and you truly never have feelings for me then I'll leave you alone and go on with my ways. So, deal?"

She stared down at his hand that had still been held out. (Deal?) This didn't seem like a good idea at all. What was the worst that could happen? She wasn't going to lose anyway. Right? No! Marinette your better than him. Besides you're not gonna lose. If anything he'll lose. She'll never like him.

With a quick movement, she grabbed his hand.

"Before we shake I want to change the play of this bet. I win the bet if you catch feelings for me first. So that means if I win you have to do whatever I say for a weak. That way the winnings are fair and we'd both get the same prize no matter who wins. Deal?"

He smiled shaking her hand. "You don't know what you just did to yourself Dupain."

With a playful pout, she taunted "We'll see about that won't we pretty boy." He rolled his eyes and she picked up a solo cup from the ground.

"What are you doing?" He asked confused.

"I'm cleaning. If I'm gonna wooh you then I'll have to be around you as much as possible. So fuss up and get whoever's in your bedroom out. We have a house to clean."

2:40 pm
——
Alya had come over to Marinette's to work on their science project. Yet, Marinette couldn't focus one bit with the vulgar messages that flooded her personal number. With every new message came rage towards the blonde who ruined her weekend. But with every message also came the inspiration she needed to win this bet between her and Adrien. To finish this already. So he would stop pestering her.

"EARTH TO MARINETTE!?" Alya shouted startling Marinette out of her thoughts. "Are you okay girl?"

Marinette nodded silently and continued tweaking their presentation. She could tell this was going to be a long week. But she wasn't going to quit. This was just too exciting.

Meanwhile, Adrien had walked into his father's room wondering just when he'd see her again. The woman which had been reminded to him every day by looking at Marinette's face. His Mother.

The fact was that everything Marinette did or said made him think of his mother. And he hated her for it. Completely hated her for it. It tore his heart apart because he loved her too. But he'd never admit it to her. He knew he hurt her. He wouldn't forgive himself if he did again. Because it would just make him feel as if his mother were frowning apron him. He could see this disappointment. Feel it even. And as he stared at the photo on his father's bedside, he noticed something he had wished he noticed a lot sooner.
