[Chapter 1] : New York

"papa! mama! Where are you? Please don't leave me alone" you cried "please come back". You wake up in the middle of the night because of your fever and when you look up at the clock and you realised it was 12.45 in the morning. You sit up on your bed and stare blankly at the window. Your eyes feel sore because of the tears that has dried and you realised that you have been crying in your sleep. You then look at the photo beside your bed and take it. You just stare at the photo and suddenly tears run through your face "papa.. mama.." you cried silently. You put your hand on your chest as you felt the pain in your heart "I miss you both so much".

You have been staying at home for 2 days because of your fever but you are feeling a bit better after Ibe take care of you and let you eat your medicine on times. You are a college student and are 18 years old. You're an orphans. Your parent died when you were in middle school. Your father was a soldier and has gone to Iraq but passed away after few weeks. You were so close to your father. He was a very gentle and kind person and always loves to hangout with you every free time he has. Some says he was killed by one of his comrade because of some drugs that has been given to them. Your mother passed away 6 months after your father died. She was so depressed after knowing that the love of her life has passed away. You have been taking care of your mother until her very last breath. Your mother was a very kind and humble person. She always reminds you every single day that both her and your father loves you so much and will always there in your heart. It was a very sad fact to know that both your parent had died during your young age. You live alone ever since that day.

One day Ibe comes to you and bring you to live with him. You have known Ibe since you were a child. He is a very good friend to your parent. Ibe treat you like his own daughter and always make sure you are in good health and always try his best to spend his day with you so you won't feel lonely. Few years later, after you've gone to college, Ibe hired you as his assistant. You have been working as Ibe's assistant for a year now after he saw your photos from your club in colleges and decided to hire you as his assistant.

- In the morning at home -

You get up and get ready for work. You went to the kitchen and find out that Ibe already left the house with a note on the table. It says "I'm really sorry but I need to go early to the office today. I'll bring you to the cafe later so we can have breakfast together. See you later (y/n) ". You just smile and went to the office afterwards.

After arrived at your work place, you were greeted by Ibe. "Good morning (y/n)". "Good morning uncle" you reply happily. Ibe smiled at you "How was your fever? Are you getting better? ". "yes uncle. I'm feeling better now thanks to you" you said smilling at him then you saw someone behind him who look familiar to you. He has a blackshort wavy hair then you noticed "Ei.. Eiji??" the guy jumped at your sudden call and turn to you "ehh? (y/n)! What are you doing here?" he ask curiously. You walk close and stand in front of him and tell him "I was going to ask you the same question. Haha". Both of you laugh at each other.

Ibe was surprised then ask "wait (y/n), you know Eiji? You both knew each other?". You and Eiji then smiled at each other then turn to face Ibe and you both nodded together. "Eiji is my senior in college, Eiji usually help me with my assignment and that's why I know him" you confess. Eiji then say "we're very close in college" Eiji smile. Then Ibe said "oh yes! Now that you mention it, I remember Eiji study at the same college as you. I think this is a very good thing that both of you know each other." while putting his index to his chin then look at me "Eiji will be your partner starting from today. He is my new assistant". You jumped a bit but then nod and turn to Eiji "I'm looking forward to work with you partner!" you extended your hand to him then wink. Eiji laugh and take your hand "yup! Me too" and grin at you. You both laugh at each other when suddenly your stomach start to growl.

All of you turn silent for a moment at the sudden sound. Your eyes widened and your cheek turns red as you blush then quickly turn your head to look down at your feet and awkwardly say "hehe.. I think I'm a bit hungry. Um uncle?" Ibe then turn to look at you "what is it (y/n)?". You put your hand on your stomach and give him a hint that you are hungry and need food right away.

Ibe then say "Oh yes! Let's go to the cafe and have breakfasts. I'm going to brief a bit about our new report in New York next week". Your eyes widened again after Ibe last words then ask "Uncle, New York? Next week?" Ibe then nod "yes (y/n). We will do a report about street gangs there. Are you okay with this (y/n)?". You were shocked at first then nodded and say "yes uncle" while smiling.

You then thought to yourself "I wonder how New York is going to look like? Street gangs huh? Hmm.. guess this might be a hard task for all of us" all of you start heading to the cafe. You then look at Ibe and Eiji who are walking in front of you as they are talking to each other. You look at the window and thought to yourself,
