Chapter 3 Training and Loss of a Friend

Hey guy! Back as promised. 

So, with us kinda sitting the side lines in the chapter, it's probably gonna be shorter. We kinda have to sit side lines for reasons of plot and plot development. And Dan needs to still grow as a character like us.

Alright! So, without further adieu, let's get to it.

I know this is gonna sound weird, but one day, my whole word changed. Ya see, these cards started falling from the sky. Comin' down like rain. At first we didn't know where they were all coming from, or who sent them. We only knew that they were more than just ordinary playing cards. And it was happening all around the world. In the north, in the south. They landed everywhere.

Together with my knew online friends from around the world, we invented a wicked new game called Bakugan. That's when the power of the cards was revealed. Each one held its own battling beast which came alive when you threw it down. Battles were intense and if chose the wrong card, you lost along with the beast inside.

But that's only half the story, another even bigger battle was taking place in a parallel universe called Vestroia.

My name is Y/n. And together with my friends Dan, Runo, Marucho, Julie, not to mention mister hot shot himself Shun, and Alice, we are the Bakugan Battle Brawlers!

Y/n POV...

It's been a few days since Dan and I had that fight with Masquerade. We are currently doing a bit of training to help improve our strength. I tried to tell Dan that working out won't make our Bakugan stronger and won't really help us win in the long run but he wouldn't listen to me.

Oh well. Might as well get some exercise out of this. I take a light jog while Dan is doing some push ups. Drago starts to criticize Dan a bit when he starts calling himself 'The man' and 'Number One'. 

"Hey, zip it will ya?!" Dan says, "If I want to be number one, I have to train. Which also means I have to CONCENTRATE!"

"Heh, humans." Drago says.

"I've had it with you!" Dan walks over to the bench he put Drago on and picks him up.

"Hey! Put me down!" Drago exclaims.

"Not until you agree to be nice." Dan says as if scolding a child. "And from now on, DO AS I SAY!"

I look at the scene and laugh a little. 

"You two both need to play nice it seems to me." I say.

Later...

I'm hangout with Dan at his place after our day of training. I'm leaning against the wall and rub my temple a little bit. Dan is talking with the gang while scrubbing down Drago with a toothbrush.

"So, you guys are training again. That's great you two." Runo says.

"Yeah. 'sept Drago kept messin' with my jam." Dan says.

"I got a half way decent work out." I say, "but then again, I was kinda working alone."

I step into the frame and lean my hand on the desk. 

"Oh, hey Y/n." Marucho says.

"Hey man." I wave and smile.

"Y/n, you're here!" Julie gets excited.

"Um. why wouldn't I be?" I ask.

"It's just that you've missed our last few calls since you faced Masquerade. We were a little worried about you." Marucho says.
