Chapter thirteen. School trip, Part 2

The past three days went by in a blur of swimming playing and all sorts for fun activities.

Today was their last day and they all had free time, "we should go to the pool!" Ruby said.

"But my hair will get wet!" Josie complained

"So?" Tillie said.

"My Hair Will Get Wet!"

"I agree with Ruby, lets go" Diana said

All the girls were sitting in Josie,Tillie and Jane's. Room with all the windows open letting the light breeze blow in.

Anne was on the ground in a pool of sun, "lets go!" she said jumping up from where she sat.

"Ugh fine!" Josie said rolling her eyes.

Diana, Ruby and Anne all went back to their room to get changed into their swimsuits.

Anne wore a pale blue one piece that had flowers on it.

*at the pool*

"Look Gilbert is here!" Ruby swooned once she saw Gilbert on the other side of the pool, with Billy Charlie Jerry Cole and Moody, they were all talking to Gilbert, he seemed to be shaking his head, denying something.

Anne gasped quietly when she saw Gilbert, shirtless, Anne glanced away hoping no one noticed the blush that had appeared on her cheeks.

"You love her!" Billy said in disgust.

"No I Don't!" Gilbert said for the fifth time.

"Look there she is now!" Cole said pointing over to where Anne stood talking to Jane and Diana.

Gilbert looked over, resting his gaze on the red headed girl, he ran his hand through his dark brown hair, clenching his jaw.

"Anne!" Jerry called

Gilbert spun around, "stop!" He said.

Jerry laughed.

Anne turned around and saw Jerry waving her over, Anne said something to Diana and Jane and headed over, Glancing at Gilbert as she walked around the pool.

"Hey Jerry... what's up?" She said not taking her eyes off Gilbert.

"Nothing really" Jerry said shrugging

"Wow" Anne said rolling her eyes

Gilbert chuckled. "What?" Anne said turning to him in mock rage.

Gilbert looked at the sky and began to whistle, then he grabbed her waist and tried to pull her into the water, she screamed and grabbed onto his shoulders, pulling him in after her.

She went under, plunging into the water.

Once her head broke the water's surface she burst into laughter. Gilbert laughed too not looking away from the red headed girl for a second.

"Gilbert Blythe you are so dead!" She cried as she began to make her way towards him. Slowly he backed away, laughing.

Once she was close enough she jumped up out of the water, her hands landing on Gilbert head pushing him under the water.

She let go and began to swim away as fast as she could, (she failed because she can't really swim) and he grabbed her foot, pulling her back to him, her wrapped his arms around her chest an arms Whispering quietly "got you" to her ear.

She blushed furiously, she spun around in his grasp and pushed on his chest but she was too weak, Anne's hands rested on Gilbert's chest, she looked up into his eyes, his face was so close to hers she could feel his breath on her face, she began to blush when she noticed how close they were. she wiggled free and plunged herself to the bottom of the pool, then she came face to face with Diana. Anne's eyebrows shot up, a smile spreading across her face, only to be replaced with a look of shock when Gilbert arms wrapped around her waist as he pulled her back to the surface, Diana followed.
