"right.." anne says tightly, "my bad" she spun around and ran, her feet loudly crunched against the frostbitten grass.
gilbert stood in stunned silence "i dont understand" he muttered to himself as he ran a hand through is wind tpoustled hair.
anne's running finally came to a stop once her lungs felt like they were bleeding from the cold air. "stupid stipid STUPID" she yelled as she walked over to a patch of trees. "stupid IDIOT Anne why would any like you why did you have to be such an idiot and go ruin everything" she lashed out and punched the tree next to her,her knuckles bled.
"anne" someone called from far away.
"gilbert?!" anne exclaimed sitting up swiftly "oh.... hi Diana"
"oh my gooness Anne whats wrong??" the brunett frantickly asked as she crouched down beside the redhead.
Anne laughed bitterly, "well" she said taking a deep breath"i told gilbert i liked him and he did not like me back"
dianas jaw dropped,"what do you mean he didnt 'like you back' of course he does everyone knows it!"
annes cheeks flushde, "well youre all obviously wrong" she snapped.
diana jumpped to her feet, "wait here" she said determindly
gilberts feetslammed against the grass as he ran towards the gocart track where charlie and moody were about to start a race. "GUYS" he yelled fearfully, they paused. "ive made" he gasped "a mistake" Charlie snorted, "when have you not?"gilbert kicked him. "listen to me!! Anne just confessed that she doesnt like billy... she likes me but when she told me i didnt know what to say so i didnt say anyhting at all and now shes gone!" he rambled.
Charlie and moody shared a knowing look before charlie grabbde him by the shoulders and shook him, "WHAT RHE HELL ARE YOU DOING TELLING US THEN GO FIND HER DIPSHIT" he yelled before shoving him away. "uh- thanks?" gilbert splutterd before sprinting back the way he came. where are you anne his mind pleaded.
his blood was pounding in his ears and his legs were burning as he ran. suddinly his face was smashing into the ground. "what the fuck" he groaned as he pushed himself up. "you" diana said in a terrifyingly intimidating voice, "have a lot of explainging to do"
he stood up and brushed the grass off his clothes, "i dont have time for this Diana" he pleaded
diana glowered, "anne just layed her heart out infront of you and you have the AUDACITY to not even reply when we all know youve had a crush on her since forever! just admit it youve been smitten with anne ever since she hit you over the head with her texbook, youre just not man enough to actually TELL HER!" diana snapped
"for gods sake, YES BUT RIGHT NOW I NEED YOU TOT ELL ME WHERE SHE IS SO I DONT LOSE HER FOR GOOD" gilbert yelled with tears in his eyes.
diana softened, "shes through the trees just over there" she pointed to where she had found anne before.
"thanks you diana really, than you" he gushed as he turned and began to run towards the trees.
Anne sat stiffly against the cold bark of a tree, twigs snapping behind her pullde her attention from the leaf she was disecting, "diana i think i just need to be alone right now" anne sighed.
"anne" gilbert said gently, she stiffned. "please go" she said turnoing her head away fom him.
"please listen to me" gilbert said tiredly, " i messed up okay? you... you were open with me and i didnt even reply and for that im sorry, okay?" anne sighed
"its fine" she said turning to face him, "its whatever i just... i feel ike an idiot now because you obviously dont like me back, which is fine it just sucks bec-" she was cut off by gilbert grabbing her hand, "anne look at me okay?" he sighed, "i do like you... alot i have since you came to avonlea and im sorry i was too cowardly to tell you before but... here i am telling you, anne that i do infact have a really big crush on you" anne laughed in disbelief.
gilbert leaned in his eyes shining like shiny shiny starts and they kissed then they has hot raging sex the end.
