"Shit" Gilbert said as he stared at where the red head had stood moments Before, then he got an Idea, glancing one last time at the pile of logs he began to walk towards the library.
Daniel sat in the library typing away at his computer, he arched his back and opened his mouth wide with a yawn he was about to start typing again when he was interrupted by someone hissing "SHIT" right next to him, he glanced down to see a very embarrassed boy sitting on the ground surrounded by a bunch of books about different types of art. "uh.. you ok?" Daniel asked with a small chuckle, the boy blushed, "uh.. yeah"
"your.. Cole right?" he asked as he got down on his knees to help him pick up some of the books,
"yeah" Cole said "your.. Dannie?"
Daniel burst into fit of giggles, "Daniel" Cole's eyes widened
"oh uh sorry, Daniel!" Cole was now bright red and staring at the ground.
Daniel chuckled and stood up, "it's fine" he said three of the books in his arms,
Cole smiled and stood up the rest of the books in his arms, "i'm just a clumsy gay mess" he said with a grin.
"oh" Daniel said then... "Oh!"
Cole paled, "i uh.. shouldn't of.. said that i..um"
"No!" Daniel interrupted, "i'm also! the.. so gay. i uh...mm boys"
Cole stared at him with wide eyes then he burst into a fit of giggles, "that was amazing" he said.
Soon Daniel began to chuckle too. "Don't judge me" he said with a small smile.
Cole smiled, "I would never" he said.
Daniel's eyes widened, "What" Cole said.
"it's Gilbert.. i swear there is something going on with him and Anne"
Cole nodded in agreement, "they like.. are in love with each other but uh.. 'not'"
"riight" Daniel with with a chuckle, "i kinda ship them they would be so cute"
Cole gasped, "our whole friend group ships them, their ship name is"
"Shirtbet?" Daniel interrupted
"Yes!" Cole exclaimed
"ok let's go see what Gilbert is doing.." Daniel said
Cole nodded and got up, together they made their way towards where Gilbert was sitting, Daniel peered over the brunet's shoulder and read the title of the book, "How to build a hut for beginners?" he asked.
Gilbert turned around and scowled when he saw it was Daniel, "Shouldn't you be off doing something with Anne?" he spat.
"shouldn't you be with Ruby?" Daniel replied with a small smile. Gilbert stiffened,
"Nothing is going on between me and Ruby.." he said
"does Anne know that?" he said before turning around and walking back the his table,
"that was so cool" Cole said with a grin.
Daniel smirked, " i have my talents"
Some time later...
Gilbert stared at the hut in front of him with a smile, then he turned around and made his way towards Green Gables.
Anne lay curled up in a ball on her bed sobbing, WHY AM I CRYING she yelled silently. I don't even care about g- That boy, he can like whoever he wants i don't care i- "Anne?" Marilla asked from the doorway, "what happened?" she said sitting down on the end of her bed,
"Nothing" Anne said obviously lying.
"Are you sure? Did someone do anything?"
"Gilbert Blythe did nothing!" Anne hissed, Marillas face softened,
"I never said a name" she said and with that, she stood up and walked out. Anne sat there confused when there came a knock at the door, after a few seconds "Anne someone's here for you!" Marilla called,
Anne got up and walked down the stairs, Matthew sat in his chair in the living room and as Anne passed him he gave her a knowing wink, Anne shook her head in confusion.
"Anne" came a all too familiar voice, she stiffened,
"What" she said trying to discreetly wipe her eyes,
"Can we just.. Go for a walk?" Gilbert asked, Anne opened her mouth to object when Marilla shoved her outside and slammed the door, instantly Anne was hit by the cold from her tearing off her jacket when she entered her room.
"So." she said after they had been walking for a few minutes.
"I understand you like Daniel and if he makes you happy that's ok but-"
"Woah woah woah, what!? I don't like Daniel!" she said her eyes wide,
"Oh" Gilbert said trying to suppress a smile, "wait but you were at the movies with him"
"I don't know i don't like him though i like y- I aHHHhH" she said going red,
Gilbert smiled.. "So... can I show you something" he said leading her towards the hut.
Once they entered the clearing Anne gasped, " it's.. A hut" she whispered. She turned to Gilbert, "Thank you" she said with a smile, then the image of Gilbert and ruby together flashed through her mind, instantly her face fell, "What's wrong?" Gilbert said closing the gap between them, grabbing her arm, "nothing just... are you and Ruby.. like.. A thing now?" she asked a small blush creeping up her face.
Gilbert's eyes widened, "no uh.. No" he said rubbing the back of his neck, Anne nodded, "noice" she said quietly. "Noice"
