Yesterday, they told us that they were going to open the city wall, and we were all nervous about what was behind them. Today they opened them, and we all poured out. Only to find a big city full of people dressed in puffy dresses, wigs, makeup, and crazy patterned suits. I was very confused. I looked over at Tris, and she looked shocked as well. "What the-." Tris clamped a hand over my mouth, and I noticed that someone was speaking. "Welcome to the Capital! You are here to compete in the Hunger games!" Some dude with white hair said, like it was the best thing ever. "Whats that? Is like, everyone hungry or something?" Called out Christina.
Later, after he had explained what the hunger games were, they told us who would be competing, the list went like this: Tris, Me, Christina, Uriah, Marlene, Lynn, Zeke, and Shauna. Then we were shown to our rooms. They were fantastic, and very fancy. "See you at dinner." Tris said, pecking my cheek. "Ok." I replied. As I walked into my room.
At dinner, our mentor Haymitch, who was also mentoring two other people we hadn't met yet, told us that tomorrow we will start training with the other tributes. As he was saying this, two people walked out of their rooms. "Who are they!?" The girl asked. "Oh, I forgot to introduce you to the people from Chicago. Haymitch said. "Tris, Tobias, Christina, Uriah, Zeke, Marlene, Shauna, and Lynn, meet Katniss and Peeta." "Um, hi?" Katniss said. "Hey." Replied Tris. "Well tomorrow is training, so you might want to rest." Said Haymitch. "Ok." We all agreed. "Wait, we haven't eaten yet!" Said a confused Peeta. So they ate quickly, and we all went to bed.
