You're mine

You walk past my house each day

That dreamy look constant on

your heart shaped face.

Those bright blue eyes twinkle

In the morning sunlight

Brighten up my day.

I wait with slight impatience

To see your face with your freckles

and rosy cheeks. I watch the swish

of your long plait ending at your waist.

Your smile crinkles the corners of

your mouth showing your dimples

as you see my face at the window,

waving at you, unsure whether you

know my prescence each day.

I get to know you more,

Your hobbies, your interests,

your passions, your desires.

Your hopes and weaknesses.

I believe in you.

Your smile, your laughter

A reminder that there is more to

life; than sadness and doom.

Your face lifts the gloom surrounding

me. You are mine.
