Teardrops

I smile through my sadness,

You really know how to hurt me,

Don't you?

You don't care who you damage,

What losses they will suffer,

You just want to hurt us

Your twisted words as piercing

As a the subtle blade of a knife

Cuts deeper into my soul.

I cry out in my pain but no one hears.

My teardrops silent like my pleas

Echo each hurt, Each heartache,

Each well remembered sorrow.

As the teardrops slide down my

Cheek one by one,

They symbolise your lies,

The searing pain piercing my

fractured heart.
