MACKENZIE ZIEGLER strutted down the hallway, her red heels clicking against the tiled floor. she ran a red manicured hand through her wavy hair, letting it spread over her shoulders. her body was clad in a red crop top and skinny jeans. don't look, she thought to herself. but she did anyway. on her left, johnny orlando was eating some random girl's mouth. it looked revolting, and she wondered if they looked like that when they were together.
it had taken mackenzie two months to heal. two months. but the result was worth it. she managed to keep johnny orlando off her mind 69% of the time. the other 31%... not so much.
she still loved him, yet, she was slowly getting over him. was it a good or bad thing? you'll never know.
mackenzie stopped at her locker, sighing internally when she saw ashton arbab right in front of it. "what do you want, ashton?" mackenzie asked tiredly.
"did ya miss me?" ashton winked. mackenzie resisted the urge to throw up in her mouth. she pushed past him, unlocking the locker and gathered her necessities. slamming the door shut, she tried to leave, only to be stopped by a hand on her wrist.
"movie night. you, me?" ashton said in a deep voice. mackenzie wondered if he thought it was hot, but all she really wanted to do is to give him a glass of water.
"i can't. i'm busy," she responded.
"it's frozen," he added, like the movie choice would make her drop the event she had on for him. mackenzie let out a laugh.
"frozen?" she repeated, amused. "sorry, i have to pass. see you later, not." mackenzie smiled politely, muttering that last word under her breath.

after three classes, mackenzie bumped into annie. "annie! hey! i haven't seen you since you deep-throated hayden summerall!" the ziegler said sarcastically, making the other girl blush.
"have you heard from brynn lately?" annie asked, smiling at mackenzie's obvious disgust for the blonde. "i thought you were more considerate than that kenz,"
"not when it comes to her," mackenzie rolled her eyes. annie chuckled, and decided to change the subject before the brunette went off on an angry rant.
"did you hear about the play?" annie questioned, shaking her head when a confused expression replaced the look on mackenzie's face.
"mr teacup and ms powerpuff are running auditions in two weeks," annie informed her friend. "you can dance or sing, or even do a monologue, as long as it's two or three minutes long."
"mr teacup and ms powerpuff as in mr thompson and ms peterson?" mackenzie giggled. "wow, that's new. the last names i heard were tofu and pickles,"
annie laughed. "i heard that from loren gray, so don't blame me. and before that was tape and potato, and don't get me started on the one's carson lueders made up."
mackenzie grinned, wiping a tear from her eye. she was one of those people when she laughed for more than ten seconds, tears would trickle out.
annie's phone beeped. checking it carelessly, she sighed. "lauren wants me to help her with her maths homework. sorry kenz," the brown-eyed girl smiled fakely, hugging the other brown-eyed girl.
"see you, i guess."
