LILY CHEE sipped her tea, delicately balancing the teacup on a saucer. she propped her feet up onto her desk, a clang! sounding throughout the room courtesy to her heeled boots. she intently watched the dots on her phone screen, with an slight undertone of impatience.
jj:
i have a big news.
lily:
really? do tell.
jj:
you won't believe it.
lily:
let's hear it then.
jj:
i think you would rather see it.
jj sent a video !
lily is typing..
lily:
what. the. hell.
jj:
i'm sorry.
lily:
wow.. i thought we had something going on but i guess not.
jj:
she's not much better than her boy toy, is she?
lily:
i guess not.
jj:
how are you feeling?
lily:
peachy.
jj:
love that.
lily:
i know you do.

jj:

lily:

"i'm so glad you didn't decide to ditch me," lily joked as she led the other girl into her house. the girl, jj, smiled and kicked her vans off. she padded down the hallway to the kitchen in her mismatched socks, following lily.
"of course not. not with what you're offering, anyway," jj teased. she hoisted herself onto the counter, legs swaying as she watched the ravenette intently.
"where are your parents?" jj asked, after a moment of silence.
"at a party," lily shrugged, scowling. "more specifically, at a party melissa ziegler is hosting." lily could practically taste the salt on her tongue as she pulled out a pack of beers and a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.
jj snorted. "you make it sound like a bad thing."
"maybe it is, maybe it isn't. but i'ma take a wild guess. you're not here for the chitchat." it was funny really. the way the lily made the sarcasm so obvious it sounded like it was dripping from her lips, like honey, except it wasn't the lovely and sweet-tasting honey. no, it was the sort of honey that had a dark twist to it, the sort you get stuck in and slowly sink down in agony as it envelopes your body and at last, your head, slowly suffocating you.
"oh yes, how did you know?!" jj feigned astonishment. "as much as i would like to throw shade at mackenzie ziegler and the rest of the school, there really is something else i would rather be doing,"
"me?"
"no- well, technically yes,"
"then what are we waiting for?" lily smirked, flicking on the lighter. a spark spluttered to life, lighting one end of a cigarette. lily put the cigarette between her lips and inhaled, the smile still present on her face. "my bedroom's this way."
