Chapter 14

Zariah's POV

2 weeks have passed since that day. I very much enjoy life here at Lucas's pack. Everything is so much better being with my mate then my father. Of course i miss Millie but she's safer at Liam's pack. I prefer to keep her safe which is away from me. The only person i can really talk to is Lucas. He's a werewolf and his wolf is just like Mireya. I know he'll understand, unlike others who aren't like me or Lucas and at the moment we're the only one like us. For the moment.

"Zariah, you okay?" Lucas asked and i nodded giving a small smile.
"You sure?" he asked and i nodded again
"I'm fine Lucas" i said softly and he smiled kissing my cheek.
"I love you Zariah" He smiled
"I love you too Lucas" i said grinning a bit.
"I have to go. Alpha duties" he said
"And i'm pretty sure the pack treats me as a Luna so i'm going to go hang with the little kids for a bit" i smiled and he did too as i walked off to thr playground area.
"Luna!" Two young males called. Mark and Kale.
"Hey boys" i smiled. The twins were about 7 years old and i'm the only one who can tell them apart, other then their parents, Lilly and Derek. They're quite nice werewolves and they respect me for being a werecat and the Luna.
"Luna can you tell us stories about your past?" Mark asked.
"Sure" i said sitting down on a bench and they sat on the grass a few feet away, other kids joined in for the stories too.
"When i was 15 and close to turning 16 about 2 months ago. I was running from my father who almost made my mother pass. I ended up running into another person when i was on the run from my father, he asked me if i wanted to go to his place to hide there but i said snoand continued running. But little did i know that the boy i ran into that day would be my mate. He ran away from here and we met in the city. We stayed underneath a bridge for the night and the next day i found my brother Jay. He looked after us for a little while until Lucas's sister found me in her werecat form. Lucas and i moved there for a month and then we had to come here. And my cat. Can you all keep a secret?" i said and everyone nodded
"My cat's name is Mireya and she's from the legend of the Werecat and werewolf with powers and wings" i said quietly and they all gasped
"No way!" Mark said and i nodded
"She is" i grinned and he and many others did.
"Hi Luna" Lilly smiled
"Hi Lilly. And please, call me Zariah" i said softly
"Okay Lun-Zariah" she smiled shaking her head slightly at the slight mistake she made. I felt a strange feeling as if i was being watched.
"There's a werewolf spy from the Shadow pack to your left" She said and i stood up looking at Lilly then to the spot she said the spy was and surely there was. Mireya instantly took over.
Mireya's POV

I took over as the man is a spy from the Shadow pack who is going to infiltrate mine and Lucas's Pack. I pounced at the man and he wasn't quick enough to react so i had him pinned. I grabbed him by the neck with my jaw and he flinched with slighty pain and i dragged him to the cells. I threw him in snarling at the man as he backed up. No training. Lucas was now watching as he was inside the whole time
"Mireya?" he asked
"He's a spy from The shadow pack! He was going to infiltrate!" i exclaimed and the man started talking
"Yes i was but only because the alpha took my wife and daughter hostage!" he said but he was lieing.
"Lie!" i roared "Truth now or i will make your life a living hell!" i roared
"Okay! okay! I'm being forced to spy for the alpha to keep Zariah safe as he's her uncle!" he exclaimed and i was frozen. The truth.
Zariah's POV

My uncle is the alpha of the Shadow pack? I didn't know I even had an uncle. My dad or mums side? Mireya let her wall break slightly so I immediately took over.
"What's his name?" I Demanded
"Jason" he said
"That's my Mom's brothers name.." i muttered
"You're Zariah?" he asked snd i nodded
"Sorry about my cat Mireya. She isn't too fond of spy's after her last life" i said carefully and he nodded.
"Your uncle expects you to join his pack" The spy said
"Absolutely not!" i said loudly.
"He ordered you to. No arguing" he said
"Has he thought about me being the mate to an alpha?!?! Has he thought about what would happen if a pack went without a Luna for life!" i exclaimed and he froze
"Y-you're the mate to the new alpha here?" he asked
"Yes. I am. His name is Lucas and i will not be leaving this pack or him" i ordered and he nodded.
"Of course" he said understanding. "We wouldn't want a war so you best be going back to my uncle and tell him that i will not be leaving my mate and his pack as i'm busy with my business as being Luna" i said and he nodded forming into a black wolf and running away back to the pack.
"Thank you for standing up for the pack Luna" Derek said
"I care for this pack as much as anyone" i said softly giving a warm smile.
"I'm glad" Lucas said and he rested his head on my shoulder putting his head into the crook of my neck. Being affectionate and making me purr and blush.
"You're purring" Lucas cooed
"S-shut u-up" i stuttered making him chuckle. Soon he ended up kissing my neck softly making me blush a lot but purr quite a bit.
"Lucas stop" i said softly and he did. Derek chuckled at us and quickly left and we made our way to the pack house. We walked up to our room and I sat on the bed as Lucas did paperwork at the desk. We were only 16. We didn't need to be the alpha and Luna yet. But Zendaya said that we're just old enough to be the alpha and luna. I'm not looking foward to being the Luna although i already am, i feel like i'm going to mess up badly.
