Zariah's POV
I couldnt believe what i was looking at, the house was trashed. I ran in looking for Jay but i couldnt see him anywhere
"Jay" i yelled out worried
"Zariah! Over here!" called Lucas. I walked over to him and i saw a note 'Bring me the female Werecat that has wings and powers and Jay will live'
My eyes widened, the guy or girl who took my brother wanted me. I couldnt control my powers nor fly. Lucas just watched me until he broke the silence by saying "It'll be alright Zariah, we'll get your brother back. I promise"
Then i realized something, my brother had a stone. Something that every criminal wanted so i ran to where he hid it and it was still there. I grabbed it and walked back down to Lucas "Who ever was here didnt get what they wanted. And im going to protect it"
"Zariah. Is that the stone of shadows?" he asked. I nodded my head and he just looked at me with his eyes widened with a shocked expression.
"Im sorry i havent told you Lucas. But im not a human, im a werecat. I was going to tell you on your birthday" i sighed
"Tell him Zariah!" screamed Mireya
"Not yet Mireya! I'll tell him soon! I promise!" I snapped
"Fine"
I sighed at the thought of Mireya taking over one day and transforming herself
"I promise we'll get Jay back and i will want to see your form one day" Said Lucas coming out of his shock slowly
"Okay" i whispered. I felt Mireya trying to gain control but i pushed her to the back of my mind
"Mireya! Stop trying to take control!"
"I need to run Zariah!"
"Fine"
"Oh and when you transform your clothes dont rip because im one of the special Cats"
"Alright"
"Let me guess, talking to your cat?" asked Lucas
"Yup" i replied before transforming
"Happy Mireya?" i asked
"Very" she whispered nicely
"Arent your clothes ripped now?" queried Lucas
"No, her clothes arent ripped. Im a special type of cat so her clothes will be fine when she revolts back" Mireya said calmly
Lucas just nodded and I was stuck in my cats mind. Its been an awesome day so far!
Mireya's POV
Zariah was annoyed that she couldnt really talk, i could feel it but at least i could go for a run. I ran out the door and through the back of apartment buildings and normal residential houses. It felt so nice to feel the wind in my fur again after so many years since my last person passed away from being stabbed to the heart. Normally when one of the special cat or werewolf is inside someone they are immortal. The world is confusing in its own little way.
After an hour i decided to run back home but someone seemed to be following me. I slowed down to a walk and i started to yowl to let them know i was there and then i turned around and slashed thier arm. It was a man who seemed to work at the zoo, trying to catch me i assume. I ran looking for a place to hide so i could let Zariah take over but i couldnt. There were people all over the alleyways so i couldnt let her take over yet.
It took me a while but i eventually found a place to let her take over but i wasnt sure if it was entirely safe. I had no choice though it was either let Zariah take over in a secret place or i get caught. I chose to go for danger and let Zariah take over. So i hid and let her take over. I watched from the inside as she talked with the man. I wasnt entirely sure about her approach but it was working.
"Excuse me miss! Have you seen a snow leopard cross white tiger with wings around here have you?" he asked
"No, ive never even heard of a snow leopard cross white tiger with wings. But if it was real i think it would be one of a kind. Sorry i couldnt be of more help sir" she replied as she started to walk back home. Zariah was lucky she didnt expose herself because if she did, she would be in trouble.
Lucas's POV
As soon as Zariah walked in through the door i smiled "how was your cats run?"
"It was good until the end when we almost got caught by a man who worked at the zoo" she sighed
"Wow, the day sure has been crazy"
"Definitely, me waking up this morning to falling out of bed, me walking downstairs only to feel the need to go for a walk when intead Mireya surfaced, Katelyn wanting to ship us, us coming home so i could open my presents when the house was trashed, Mireya wanting to go for a run and almost get caught. Definitely a crazy day" i just laughed at what she said
"You fell out of your bed this morning?" i asked between laughing
"Yes i did. And stop laughing before something bad happens to you" i hissed. "You dont want something bad happening to you? Right?"
I just groaned at it. "What ever Zariah. Besides, your not my mate in the future anyways" i snapped with a glint of anger in my eyes.
She just laughed nervously
"Wait, youre my mate arent you?" i hinted
She just nodded nervously and my eyes widened a bit.
Later that night i was laying in bed pondering my thoughts that she was my mate, that she hid it from me the entire day. I felt kinda betrayed, after all we've gone through together but i knew i could forgive her. Besides if she was my mate i would definitely accept her and forgive her in a heartbeat.
I tried falling asleep but i could, i just kept tossing and turning. And so i decided to get a drink from downstairs.
I got up and walked downstairs to see Zariah on the couch. I smiled and she started snoring lightly, i have to admit it was cute. But i couldnt leave her there freezing so i picked her up and took her up to her room but she wouldn't let go as she grabbed onto me as i brought her up.
I woke up in my room and i barely remembered anything from last night other than i picked Zariah up and tried to put her in her bed.
I smiled at her and she started to stir awake
"Good morning Zariah" I whispered
She just groaned and murmured "let me sleep Lucas, im tired"
I just chuckled at her and hugged her. I sighed at the thought of her being my mate. Would she actually accept me for me or my wolf? I dont know but i kept on asking questions in my mind.
Jay's POV
I woke up chained to a wall wondering where i was, i wanted to let my cat Jason take over and break the chains but he told me not to as my clothes would rip and the bones in his body wouldnt form properly. I sighed at the thought of never escaping and never seeing my sister again.
"Well about time you woke up pretty boy" giggled a high and annoying voice
I just yowled at her
"Feisty kitty" she stated
"Mate will get us out of here Jay, Mate is coming to help" Jason exclaimed
And when he finished his sentence i smelt her. My mate, she was close but i dont know where.
"Show her! Show the other girl here! Now!" i demanded
"My daughter. Come over here" she asked
"Yes mother" she said hesitating while smelling her mate.
"Liz?" i wondered
"Jay!" she exclaimed running over to me to give me a hug. I wish i couldve hugged back because if i could i would definitely give her one.
"Im going to get you out of here" she whispered
"Okay" i whispered "take your time though"
"Nope im getting you out now Jay" she whispered grabbing her dagger and cutting the cuffs and chains. I get up and stare at her mother walking backwards in shock and fear
"What do you think about cuffing your mother Liz?" i asked
"Sounds perfect to me Jay" she said walking closer to her mother and putting her hands behind her back while i cuff them.
"You cant leave me here people! I demand you let me go!" she screamed
"I say tape her mouth too" giggled Liz
"Alright" i say wearily while tapeing her mouth and walking off with Liz once ive done so.
Zariah's POV
I still couldnt believe i slept with Lucas last night, i dont even know what happened. Did i sleep walk? Did he sleep walk? I dont know but i tried to get out of his grip to go to my room to get ready for the day but he wouldnt let me go.
"Lucas, you need to let me go so i can get ready for the day" i whispered
"No" he muttered
I sighed and slid out of his grip putting a pillow where i was and walking to my room. Lucas surely is something when he's in his tired state
About an hour later Lucas was up and getting ready. It took him long enough too. I giggled at him while he walked around like a zombie.
"Stop laughing at me. Im half asleep right now and i'll stay like this for a while so stop laughing" he complained
"Alright, i'll stop giggling at you. But you look funny like a zombie!" i retorted. He just looked at me like a zombie then started walking like one to me. I immediately jumped up and ran around the couch to get to my room and i locked the door
"You'll never get me zombie!" i laughed
"Brains! Brains! Brains!" he exclaimed sounding half dead while i was having a full on laugh attack from him but before he could act there was a knock at the door. I wasnt sure if it was my door or the front door. I got up though and walked to the door reaching out to unlock it
