Chapter 15

Zariah's POV

The Shadow pack should be arriving soon and when they do they have a room each in their own house that was recently. A week ago the letter was sent, Alpha Jayson died due to all the scratches and the silver so I will be taking over as Luna and Lucas as Alpha. Everything has gone to plan and so far so good.

I squealed slightly as i saw my older brother Cameron. He saw me and smiled as he started walking over and I hugged him and he gladly hugged back.
"How are you Zariah?" he asked
"I'm good" I smiled
"Hey Luna!" Kale smiled
"Hi Kale" I said softly
"When will you make more sweets for the pack? They taste really good!" He exclaimed
"I will once everything is settled with the new comers from the Shadow pack" I said softly and he nodded.
"Bye Luna!" he grinned before running after his brother and parents.
"Hey Zar" Lucas said walking up
"Hey Lucas. This is my brother Cameron" I smiled
"Cam!" Lucas exclaimed and they hugged. Ah yes. They're friends. I smiled softly at the two and walked off to the kitchen.

"Zariah!" Cameron exclaimed entering the kitchen that was filled with the scent of strawberry and Banana Cupcakes, brownie's and cake.
"Hey Cam" I said bluntly
"Hey Zariah, you okay?" He asked
"Yeah, it's just. We used to be so close. What happened?" I asked
"We grew up" he said softly
"I know. I just wish we had what we did before you left" I sighed
"Me too. But I heard that uncle Jayson is dead" he said
"He deserved it. He abused my best friend that is like a sister to me" I said sternly.
"What?" he said
"He almost killed my best friend, he deserved to get what he had coming by Mireya" I sneered
"Who's Mireya?" he asked
"My cat" I said and he looked around
"I don't see a cat" he said and I huffed.
"I'm a were-cat like you idiot!" I huffed and he turned pale.
"I didn't know. sorry" he said and I just nodded going back to baking my famous sweets for the pack.

"Thank you Luna" Kale smiled
"My pleasure Kale, I love baking and helping out the pack" I grinned and he did too as he ate his piece of cake. Cameron sat opposite of me and I sat near Lucas up at the front of the table. My gaze looked around at the Pack. I saw many people of all ages, female and male. But the person who caught my eye the most is a white haired girl. She seems about 27 years old. I stood up making my way to her. She's bullying my friend.
"Is she causing a problem?" I asked
"Yes Luna, she's bullying me" The little girl spoke in fear.
"Go ahead and find your mother. I'll have a talk with her" I spoke softly and kindly. She nodded running to her mother. I stood up and faced the lady.
"Why did you bully her?" I asked annoyed
"She's too bright, and my name is Katie West" She spoke.
"I can't believe you. My own older sister bullying one of my friends. Katie, My name is Zariah West. Luna of this pack. If you don't start treating everyone here like family and nicely i will resort to you staying the night or two in a cell. If you disobey a second time it will go to silver and cuts on your arms" I said sternly standing up proud.
"O-of course Zariah, I-I just thought you died with mom. T-that's what uncle Jayson said. T-that's why i changed to be this way" She spoke.
"Mom is alive, and so am I, as well as our younger sister Millie" I said and she hugged me
"I didn't know we had a younger sister" She said
"Now you do" I smiled and she did too.

"Luna! It's Naomi! She's missing!" A pack guard exclaimed and i ran off before anyone could say a thing. I ran to her room and she wasn't there, but a letter was in her place at her desk. I carefully walked over and picked it up.

Dear whoever who finds this.

Don't come look for me, After our Luna, Zariah, beat me in a fight i feel useless, I left the pack to find a purpose, I will come back one day stronger then i am, Hopefully. But please, Don't send anyone out.

Tears were now by far streaming down my face onto the piece of parchment, Naomi left because of me? I feel so bad now, She left because i made her feel weak and now my best friend, or one of my best friends is gone. I sighed and walked down stairs to break the news.

Everyone turned to me as i walked down the stairs.

"Where's Naomi?" A male asked.

"I don't know, but she's gone to find herself in the world because i made her feel weak when she wanted to fight me for position as Luna" I said softly and people who cheered her on gasped.

"You're a horrible Luna!" A female screamed brave enough to insult me. I sighed as she and others insulted me more. I just breathed in and out standing proud.
"Enough!" I shouted gaining everyone's attention
"Naomi came to me for a fight! I didn't want the fight! I never wanted to make her feel like i did! She left on her own account and we will support her when she come back!" i said sternly and loudly. Everyone bowed and went back to their regular activities before the incident.

"Nice going Zar" Lucas smiled
"Thanks Lucas" I replied and i walked up to mine and Lucas's room hopping into bed tired.

I woke up to thunder growling loudly and the sky flashed white outside from it's dark blue color making me jump and more thunder rumbled loudly. I whimpered ever so slightly because of my fear of thunderstorms.
"You alright Kitten?" Lucas asked and i shook my head no.
"What's wrong?" He asked letting me rest my head on his lap as he sat up..
"I have a fear of thunderstorms.." I said softly and he kissed my forehead.
"I'll be here. Don't worry" He said in a soft voice and i nodded slightly. He laid down and i rested my head on his chest as he pulled me close embracing me in a hug as he pulled the bed covers over us in attempt to keep us warm.
"Goodnight Kitten" He whispered in my ear softly before i drifted asleep thinking of Lucas.

The words i heard as i woke up made my heart flutter.
"Zariah is my world and she won't be leaving my sight at all. She's mt mate and I'm proue to have her as my mate" Lucas said and i yawned opening my eyes.
"Good morning kitten" He smiled
"Good morning Lucas" i said softly and he kissed me softly.
"I have to get up" I said suddenly realising something.
"Okay?" he said confused
"I'll see you later babe" i said kissing his cheek and grabbing clothes and walking into the bathroom for a shower.

I raced past everyone on the streets heading for my friends place, Her name is Cora Laila, She was my best friend when i was about 10. We're still best friends.
"Cora!" I said in a singing voice knocking on the door.
"Zari!" She grinned opening the door hugging me and letting me in. She's the only one who calls me Zari but i allow it.
"Zari, I'd like you to meet my boyfriend Jesse" She smiled and i saw a pack member.
"So this is where you've run off to Jesse? You know you have duties to handle" I said 
"H-Hi Luna!" He said smiling sheepishly. 
"Wait what? This is the Luna of your pack?" Cora asked and Jesse nodded.
"He's also a border guard who should be on guard right now but James is covering for you" I said and he bowed his head slightly.
"Of course Luna, i will get right to it" He said.
"Not so fast Jesse, You will be covering for James for a week because he's been doing yours and his own for a week. you will do both so he can have a week off with his family" I said and he nodded running off.
"I've never seen him act like that. He's always so nice, not submissive" She giggled and i giggled too.
"That's Jesse for ya" I grinned.

I stayed there the rest of the day and night, it was quite fun. I knew that Lucas would be worried though, I informed Cora on what I've been through since i last saw her which was my 14th birthday, Looking back on it all, My life has been crazy, busy, action packed and romantic. I can't wait for what the future holds, Maybe Mireya and me will finally be able to rest without anything crazy going on. Maybe.

I am so sorry for the late update! I'm going to have time to write tonight and I won't be having school anymore until next year since i finished year 7! I am now in year 8 and i just finished headstart. I am so excited to see where this book ends up though! I have a song in mind for a battle chapter, but do you guys think that this book needs maturity turned on? If so, Please let me know in the comments. But i haven't gotten any comments or votes which makes me a little sad but not everyone will continue reading this if they don't want to and i'm not pressuring you to comment or vote, i'm just suggesting it.
