Chapter 12

Mireya's POV

Everyone was outside having fun while i was laying down on the balcony in front of the alpha's house, parties were never my thing and they never will be and the same goes for Zariah
"Why don't you go party with everyone else?" Zariah asked
"Don't really like parties. Everyone gets jealous around me because i'm a legend" i mentally shrugged and she nodded.
"At least we can watch the adults get drunk" she laughed and i giggled
"Yeah" i smiled and she pouted slightly.
"Go have a little fun!" she smiled and i shook my head
"I'm content on where i am" i smiled and she sighed nodding.

"Mireya! Come on!" Damien smiled
"Parties aren't my thing. You know that" i said and he sighed jumping up to me and licking my cheek. I blushed slightly and he pulled me along to the forest
"I remember vaguely that you need my assistance on how to fly and use your powers?" he said and i nodded
"We'll start with flying" he said and i smiled

After many failed attempts to fly i managed to get it but i'm still new to it.
"Almost there" Damien said guiding me. I smiled at him and flapped like a bird would normally. I managed to stay at the same height for a bit before falling onto my stomach which hurt slightly.

"Seems like you're far off from being an expert Mireya" Damien laughed
"Shut up" I muttered and he chuckled gliding down to me and he landed cleanly inches in front of me grinning, he leaned in and licked me softly and i blushed at the touch.
"Come on love, we better get back" He grinned and i blushed at the nickname but ran after him back to the party that i won't particularly participate in.

I spotted our alpha, Liam in his wolf form who is called Caleb, watching everything unveil next to his mate Zendaya ,who is in her form Wynter. I grinned and padded with Damien back to the party.
"i remember you said you aren't the party type, but can you join for a bit?" Damien asked
"Only for you" I said softly and he smiled. We walked around talking to some of the kids as they were getting bored. Damien showed a few tricks for them which made them amazed but my gaze turned to a little girl who is maybe seven years old. I walked over to her and smiled softly
"Hi, What's your name?" I asked in a motherly tone that was soft and kind
"M-Millie" She stuttered
"That's a wonderful name, now Millie, why aren't you joining the party?" I asked
"I don't have any friends because everyone else in the pack teases me because my father abandoned me here and i didn't really know my mother" She said quietly
"What was her name?" I asked 
"Kassandra W-west" She stuttered 

I smiled at her answer.
"Zariah has a little sister" I muttered
"pardon?" She asked
"Millie, Your mom is alive, i know because she's my person's mom" I said softly and she hugged me
"I knew i had family" She said and i grinned.
"I can let Zariah out for a bit if you'd like" I said and she nodded stepping back and i let Zariah take over.
Zariah's POV 

I have a little sister.. My mom didn't even tell me. I won't question it because I've always wanted a little sister and i finally have one. 
"I can let Zariah out for a bit if you'd like" Mireya said and she nodded stepping back and she let me take over again. I realised i'm wearing a black top with a mint green skirt, I can tell Damien will be watching me for Lucas. I giggled in my mind slightly at that and hugged Millie.
"I didn't know i had a little sister, but i'm do glad i do" I smiled and she hugged me back
"Would you like to go see mom?" I asked and she immediately nodded. I stood up and took her hand walking to the hospital ward
"Why is mom here?" She asked
"Because my father hit her on the head with a vase" I said and she reluctantly nodded and we entered her room to find her awake and sitting up

"Millie" Our mother breathed out
"Mom!" She exclaimed and hugged her
"I wish i could've had you stay with me and your siblings but your father won over the court" My mother said
"I hate him" Millie said 
"Understandable, after all, your father was a criminal" She said softly and Millie nodded
"Mom, Why didnt you tell me, Jay, Cameron, Katie, Amber and Sara that we had another sister?" I asked
"I was afraid on how you would react to me having another child" She sighed
"We would be fine with it, After all, we're a family and we understand people under all circumstances" I grinned and she smiled.
"Now that reminds me, i have to get going because i have to ask my mate a question" I said in slight confusion remembering his conversation with Cameron
"Okay Zar" Millie smiled
"And if those bullies give you any trouble come get me or my mate Lucas" I said kneeling down to her and she nodded
"I love you little sis" I smiled and kissed her forehead standing up and walking off to find Damien or Lucas. 
Mireya's POV

I saw Damien getting harassed by a ton of girls. I snarled and Zariah took notice.
"Hey! Mind backing off of MY mate?" Zariah said sternly but they didn't listen. She let me take over and i snarled still not gaining their attention so i did what i had to do. I roared loud finally gaining their attention. I made my way to Damien and stood beside him
"stay AWAY  from MY  mate!" i snarled and they scampered off and the males laughed, including the alpha. I looked at Damien to see him shocked
"You just struck lightning very close by, at least it didn't touch the ground" He said and i grinned sheepishly and he chuckled shaking his head and we walked around talking about our families.

"So, Zariah has a little sister that she didn't even know about?" He asked and i nodded
"I wonder if Lucas has another sibling" He mumbled and i giggled
"Maybe" i said softly and brushed against him slightly making both of us blush deeply. 
"Want to head back inside and let Zariah and Lucas take over? I mean it is midnight" Damien said and i nodded softly and we ran back, although he flew which frustrated me slightly since he can fly but I can't.

After a few minutes of running we got back and i saw Millie asleep on a hay bale. i smiled softly and walked over to her and put her on my back and walked into the alpha's house. I put Millie on the ground and shifted back to human for Zariah.
Zariah's POV

I took over again from Mireya and picked Millie up and checked her pulse just to be sure she's okay and her pulse is strong and well. I smiled softly and Lucas entered and smiled when he saw me and I walked up to Alpha Liam.
"Alpha, Is there another room near mine and Lucas's room?" I asked
"There's one just across the hall, why?" He asked
"My sister, Millie West, She got abandoned here by her father and i believe she slept in the trees" I said and he nodded
"That she did, she normally likes to stick to herself, but now that she has family i hope she will be more open" He said
"She also gets bullied, so i told her that if they continue bulling her to get me or Lucas, I promise we won't let Mireya or Damien hurt them. We'll keep them under control since they are like family already" I said and he nodded and I started walking up to the room across from mine and Lucas's room. 

I placed her in the mint green bed and turned the light off
"Zariah, can you stay until I fall asleep?" Millie asked softly
"Of course" I smiled and sat next to her. I quickly got up and walked to my room grabbing a music box. I quickly walked back and placed it on the bedside table and started playing it.

As soon as the lullaby finished she was fast asleep, I smiled softly and walked back into my room leaving the music box there for her as it used to help me fall asleep a lot when I had nightmares or there we're storms, I still remember one day with the time when I couldn't sleep due to a lightning storm so I just played my music box and I was asleep in 3 minutes. That music box gave me a way to fall asleep easily and I hope it does the same for her.
"She asleep?" Lucas asked and I nodded and climbed into bed with him as I changed into my Pj's in the bathroom.
"Yeah, she is, I played my music box for her, I used to play it when I couldn't sleep when I was younger due to storms or when I had nightmares, I hope it helps her with that" I smiled and he smiled back softly.
"That's so kind of you" He smiled.
"You know Lucas, You should go back to your pack and become alpha" I said softly laying my head on his shoulder
"I mean, I want to, I'm just scared on how my father will react" He said softly
"I'll come with you" I said softly
"No, You will not" He ordered
"I can't just let you go, i'm literally a mess without you so i'm coming with you" I said sternly and he sighed
"Fine" He sighed, I smiled and kissed his cheek then turned over to fall asleep.
"I love you Zariah" He said quietly in my ear making my heart race
"I love you too Lucas" I smiled and slowly drifted to sleep.

Sorry for the late update, I've been busy with a lot of things
-CATS (Common Assessment Tasks)
-Getting ready for a trip to New Zealand
-Getting ready for Christmas
-Studying for school
-Hanging out with friends
and -Taking my 3 year old dog for walks everyday.

I will try and update more, I will also be trying to update on my school laptop more then my phone or Ipad. I hope you will all stay tuned in for the next chapter.
