Concern

You bring him up onto a tower and think over the situation. Eren a titan shifter, you can't let him die, not that you would before but just that you will keep him safe from anyone who opposes him.

Jean and the rest of them except from you, Mikasa, Armin and eren had been ordered by the second commanding officer to leave the area while we were brought to a wide area with loads of garrison soldiers surrounding us.

I knew this would happen. They don't understand eren for what he can do.

Eren begins to regain consciousness.

"EREN YEAGAR ARE YOU FRIEND OR FOE TO HUMANITY" shouts the commander

"Eren get behind me!" Shouts Mikasa drawing her swords. "What's happening " he asks, "to put it simple you just turned into a 15m killing machine that has just saved our asses and now we are about to be executed" you say chill.

"READY THE CANNON!" Shouts the commander, "everyone get close to me!" Shouts Eren  you see the cannon aim right at you as you hurriedly get to Eren. He wraps his arm around everyone and the commander throws his arm down indicating for it to fire.

It all happened so quickly, but you weren't dead, instead you was inside a rib cage. Eren Must have transformed. It was warm and there was a foul smell lingering in the air of dead flesh.

You check to see everyone, phew there ok. You look up to see eren fall from the nape of the Titan. He had blocked the cannon ball. "Alright guys this is it, we ditching or not?" You say focused on the task at hand, "we can't just leave It won't be that easy" says Mikasa. "Yea there not just gonna let us walk out of here" says armin.

"Alright Im leaving this up to you armin, and you as well (Y/n)" says eren. "Wait what!?" You and armin say in unison. "Your trusting us with this?!" Says armin astonished, "yea you always manage to get us out of trouble, even when we were kids if you hadn't of told Hannes that me, mikasa and (Y/n) were behind we would of been killed by the titans" replied eren calmly "yea he's right and (Y/n) you have always had a way with talking to people and getting them on your side, like when you would do your stupid pranks and then persuade the guards not to be concerned" said Mikasa looking up at you and armin.

Suddenly armin had a face of determination you had never seen before and he ran out of the smoke covering you all into the eyes of the garrison regiment. You shook your head before detaching your odm gear and running out with him.

You ran out the smoke to find him saying how we could use his abilities for military reasons.

"Sir with all do respect, judging by everyone's reactions to this I have come to the conclusion that no one has a fucking clue what is happening" you say shrugging and shaking your head. "Shut it (L/n) before I blow your head off, don't believe me, trust me I will" said the commander. You saw a face of worry cast down upon armin and you was wondering why until you realised that the commander was acting entirely on fear and it was clouding his judgement.

Suddenly out of nowhere armin gave off the soldiers salute, placing his right hand on his chest and left hand behind his back.

"As a soldier, I have long sworn to give my heart for the restoration of humankind! Nothing would make me happier than to die for that cause! If we combine his Titan ability with our own remaining manpower, we can retake this city! For humanity's glory, in what little time I have left to live, I will continue to advocate his strategic value"

There was a moment of silence as you heard the garrison soldiers talk. From what you were hearing it was going in your favour, until the commander, still in a state of fear, lifted his hand up ordering for another cannon attack on us. you knew eren won't be able to transform again to defend us.

You and armin looked back at them expecting a cannonball to hit you, but nothing came. You look back to the commander to see his hand stopped by the leader of the garrison regiment. Commander Pyxis

"I think we should at least hear these folks out, look at the perfect salute that soldiers doing, and that other one, I can see they have had a rough day to say the least" he says calmly.

A wave of relief fell over you as you dropped your swords and smiled at the luck that had graced you all with its presence.

(Timeskip, Mikasa POV)

All four of you along with Pyxis was on top of the wall, you were all talking about Erens ability and what had happened during it all. Well except from (Y/n), he once again was asleep lay on a stack of cannon balls. "Sir should I wake him up?" You ask, "no you can leave him, has he always been like that?" He asks curiously. "For as long as I can remember, he's always been lazy but believe me sir when the fight is at hand he never holds back" says armin twiddling his thumbs. Pyxis only nods before turning back to eren.

"So you think you can do it son? Plug up that hole in that old wall for us?" He says taking another swig from his alcohol. "I don't know sir, I barely even understand this myself." Eren says looking down at his hands only to receive a long laugh of Pyxis "hahahahahahaha, sorry I asked you the wrong question. Are you willing to do it?" He says looking deep into his eyes.

"Yes sir!"

You begin to get worried for eren, he had only just discovered this and now we are launching an attack on the titans. He could get hurt or worse.

(Your POV)

"*yawns* oh, hey guys" you say lazily making your presence known. You can see Mikasa, eren and other members of the garrison with you. You grab erens arm and say "yo man what's happening?" "I'm gonna block that damm hole in the wall, I know I've only just discovered this ability but we have to make use of it for what it is, no matter the cost" he says clenching his fist. You give him a nod before going to Mikasa, "hey where is armin?" "He's with the squad to draw the titans away from the boulder while we protect eren, but (Y/n)" "yea?" "I've got to be honest with you, I feel like this plan us going to go horribly wrong and this time maybe I'd loose him for real" you grab her shoulder and say" hey didn't I promise to you that I'd protect him" she then suddenly slaps your hand and shouts" yea you did promise but he only ended up getting presumably killed, you broke your damm promise" you were taken aback by this but then just gave off a cold look.

"Now you know why I hate making promises I guess" you said coldly.

Mikasa stepped back realising the burden of a promise and the reason you hate them, "(Y/n)...im sorry I didn't mean t-" "no it's fine let's just get this over with" you say walking towards the odm packages and begin to gear up.
