You and Annie are both walking along the street. "You got that feeling too right?" You ask Annie tilting your head. "That he's hiding something" she replies. "Yes exactly, he's leaving something out, I bet it has something to do with his family being on the threshold of becoming broke".

"Yet he's able to keep his luxury life going as if it's not happening at all" Annie concluded.

"Say by the way where are we heading?"

"To the MP document office, I'm going to see the family's recent activity and see if I can pin it down on Carely" you only nod your head as response.

(Time skip)

Upon reaching the MP headquarters, Annie walks straight through the gates but when you try to, two guards came up to you. "Sorry kid, military police only" "Aww come on man" you pout. "No hard feelings or anything were just doing our jobs" you raise an eyebrow. "It's your day off".

"You think everybody gets that privilege!" He shouts angered. Your argument is ended by Annie. "(Y/n) just go wait by the bench over there, I'll be back in 10 minutes". You let out a large sigh and go and sit on the bench next to the guards station.

About 5 minutes pass and one of the guards comes and sits next to you. "Annie seems to have taken a liking to you" he says resting his rifle on the side of the bench. That made you chuckle "you call that 'taken a liking', wonder what love means for you then".

"Well compared to how she is with the rest of us she does seem more relaxed with you".

"Well yea, I've known her since we started at the cadet corps, we were both in the 104th cadet corps" you explain. "Ahhhh I see, well thanks for doing this with her then anyways. For the last couple of days she seems to be a lot more serious and cold than normal". You wonder what could cause this behaviour in Annie but was interrupted by her instead. "(Y/n) I've got a lead, let's go" she says crossing her arms. "Right, well see ya, nice talking to you" you say getting of the bench.

"Yea same here, good luck with whatever your doing"

After a little bit of a walk you get to a cartridge in which Annie asks for a trip into one of the most danger parts of the inner wall Sina, at this point you stop outside a bar that  looked strangely familiar. "I've seen that Carely has had some activity 2 years ago for being arrested at a bar called The Pit Riddles"

You go wide eyed. "I've been here before, like 9 years ago"

"Wait really"

"Yea, never thought I'd be going back here again."

You both get off the carriage and stop at the door of the bar, Annie goes to ask if the rider can wait for you both. You however are inspecting the bars outside, there is a beggar on the right with long back alleyways leading off from both sides.

After your inspection you see annie walk in with you just following behind her. As you go inside it seems relatively empty except from 3 men having a drink in the far left corner of the room and of course the bar tender who, compared to the rest of the place, looked quite fancy and smart. Annie approached the bar tender, who was busy reading something.

"I'm from the stohess military police. Have you seen this girl?" She asks lifting up the piece of paper she showed you before with Carelys face on it. The bartender takes a quick look before looking back to his book, "wouldn't know" he replies. You walk over to the side of Annie and take a seat at the bar, "hey, long time no see" you say waving your hand lazily, his eyes tear away from the book again to look at you. His expression doesn't change but you knew he recognised you, "you want the usual?" He asks looking firmly at you. "Do whatever I'm just here for the investigation" you reply resting your head on the table. "So it would seem" he says looking at his book again.
