Lloyd snuck down the street, his hood up hiding his face, and avoiding people. He knew he probably wouldn't be on time if he was noticed. Sadly, he was noticed by quite a few people...
"OH MY GOSH THE GREEN NINJA!!"
"Dammit." Lloyd mumbled as he quickened his pace. He rushed down the street. 'Gotta get to school gotta get to school...'. soon he was swarmed with reporters. 'Dammit. I'm gonna be late...'
Suddenly a motorcycle pulled up next to him. "Lloyd!" Someone yelled He glanced over, it was Nya. "Get on, we're gonna be late!"
Lloyd hopped onto Nya's motorcycle. "Thanks Nya!" He yelled as the motorcycle sped towards the school
"No problem Lloyd!"

Lloyd rushed into his first period class, three seconds before the bell. "What's your excuse today Mr.Garmadon?" The teacher asked
"I got mobbed. By reporters. Again." Lloyd panted, he had to run through the school to be on time. "I can't walk out the front door without it happening."
"Fair enough. Now sit down."
Lloyd took his seat in the back of the classroom. He could feel his classmates staring at him. He had really hoped no one would bother him about him being the Green Ninja today. But, he had false hope, because when the announcements came on, the whole school immidietly knew. "Good Morning Ninjago High! We have a special guest who will be speaking today, so everyone, please go to the Auditorium! Thank you!"
'Oh no...' Lloyd thought 'Not the Auditorium' Lloyd stood and followed everyone else to the school's large Auditorium
"Lloyd!" Someone exclaimed as they grabbed his shoulders
"Ack!" Lloyd exclaimed as he looked at who it was "Kai." He laughed as his friends gathered around him "Hey guys."
"Happy birthday Lloyd!" Kai exclaimed as each of Lloyd's friends handed the green clad teen boxes that were wrapped with bright green wrapping paper
"You guys didn't need to get me anything." Lloyd chuckled as he held the boxes. He shook the boxes gently "Legos." He grinned dorkily
Lloyd's friends laughed as they walked down the hall to the Auditorium. "Is that Cyrus Borg?" Kai questioned as the group walked into the big room
"I think it is..." Jay mumbled
Cole glanced at Nya, giving her an 'Oh crap, do you remember what I remember that was on the news today?' face. Nya nodded. "I know why he's here."
"Why?" Lloyd asked
"He's become sort of a leader in Ninjago, ya know building tech for citizens and helping the poor, he kinda made a new holiday..."
"Okay, what's your point?"
"That holiday is called Ninja Day." Nya sighed "And it's today."
"Seriously?" Lloyd asked in annoyence as the group sat in the auditorium seats
"Hello everyone!" Cyrus Borg smiled widely from the stage "I am Cyrus Borg, though all of you know that." He chuckled a bit. "As you probably heard on the news, I have created a new holiday. Ninja Day. In honor of the Ninja who have saved our city so many times. I hear one of them goes to school here."
Everyone turned and looked at Lloyd. Lloyd sunk into his seat. "Dammit." He mumbled
"Lloyd, it's too late he saw you. There's no escaping being called up there." Kai whispered to him
"You guys are lucky, no one knows your identities..." After a long time if answering his classmates questions, and not telling anyone his friends identities, Lloyd finally escaped Cyrus Borg and sat with his friends. "Thank goodness that's over." Lloyd sighed, just before the projector screen began to come down over the stage. "Don't tell me, slideshow?"
"My workers have composed a slideshow of many of the Ninja's heroics over the past few years." After the slideshow, which was an hour long, Cyrus spoke one last time. "Before I go, I want to wish, the Green Ninja, a happy birthday." Cyrus smiled
Lloyd sighed, again, all his classmates stared at him now. "Dude, say thank you." Jay whispered
"Thanks." Lloyd yelled, pulling on a fake smile that looked genuine
"Lloyd, it's scary how genuine your fake smiles look." Jay mumbled
"So I've been told." Lloyd shrugged as the group left the auditorium.

Lloyd walked down the street headed back home. "Hey, kid." Someone called from an alley way. Lloyd stayed quiet, and quickened his pace. 'Nope. Nope. Nope. Please no, please world just let me have the birthday present of someone not mugging me.' Lloyd thought. "Hey kid, I'm talking to you.". A hand grabbed Lloyd's shoulder.
'Shit. Shit. Shit.'
Lloyd heard the click of a pistol being set
'Shit. Shit. Shit.'
Lloyd felt the hard end of a pistol's barrel against his head "Give me your wallet, or I'll shoot."
'Dammit world.' Lloyd took a breath "Look, if I had my wallet, I'd give it to you, but I just spent the last few dollars from my pocket on a bus ride, so please just get your gun off my head."
"Then give me your laptop."
"It was a birthday present."
"Oh really? From when?"
"This morning actually, and really dude, I don't want to have to fight you."
"Yeah right like you would try anything." The man laughed
Lloyd grabbed the man's wrist, and flipped the man over on to his back. "Don't be a dick." Lloyd mumbled just before his hood fell down. The guy had the 'Oh shit I just tried to mug the Green Ninja' face. "Oh shit." Lloyd muttered as he pulled his hood up and ran down the sidewalk. His phone rang. "Hello?" He asked as he ran
"Someone just posted a video of you freaking judo flipping some guy!" Kai's voice rang through the phone
"He tried to mug me. He had a gun to my head."
"Oh shit. People are trash talking you."
"Huh. I knew that even if they knew I was the green Ninja, they'd always only see who my dad used to be." Lloyd sighed as he walked inside his apartment building "I've gotta go, just got home and my parents probably already saw the post."
"See you at the base tonight?"
"Duh, be there around ten or eleven."
"Where will you be at ten or eleven?" Lloyd looked in front of him
"Craaaap."
"Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon, you better not be planning on going out that late."
"I... Have patrol?"
"I'll call you later." Kai said before hanging up
"Lloyd. Wu worked out a schedule with me for your patrol, you don't have patrol for two weeks."
"I traded with Jay."
"Go to the apartment. Now."
Lloyd sighed and headed up the stairs. "I never get to do anything. To old for comic books and to young to fight alone, when are people gonna make up their minds?" He muttered
