Chapter 38

Lloyd sat at the kitchen table, quietly pouting as his mother set a plate of orange chicken in front of him. "Lloyd stop pouting." Misako sighed

"I'm not pouting." Lloyd mumbled as he pushed his food around the plate with his fork

"No you're pouting." Garmadon said as Misako set another plate in front of Garmadon "Thank you."

"Lloyd don't play with your food." Misako said as she sat next to Garmadon with her own plate

Lloyd pushed his food away "I'm not hungry..."

"Lloyd-" Misako started

"I'm not hungry okay!?" Lloyd shouted, immidietly he sighed "Sorry... I've... I've had a bad day." He looked at his parents "I'm going to my room..."

"Lloyd."

Lloyd walked down the hall to his room. Once he was there, he shivered. "Why is it always so cold in here?" He muttered as he flopped on to his bed and cocooned himself in blankets. There was a knock on the window. "Go away Kai..." The window opened "I said go away." Kai sat on the end of the bed, but something was off, his eyes were a swampy green. "What's up with your eyes Kai?"

"Just trying something new." 'Kai' smirked "I've always liked the shade of green your eyes are..."

"Okaaaay, Kai you're being weird..." Lloyd said just before his phone went off. Lloyd went to grab his phone

"It's probably just someone who wants to insult you or something..." 'Kai' pulled Lloyd's phone away from him

"How would they get my number?" Lloyd asked trying to get his phone

"Then it might be Jay trying to prank you." 'Kai' replied pulling the phone away again

"Yeah right, we all know I'm the one who pranks you guys." Lloyd chuckled nervously, 'Why is Kai acting so weird?' He reached for his phone again, when suddenly the caller was sent to voicemail

"Lloyd! Don't trust Kai! He's been possessed by Morro!" Nya's voice yelled

Lloyd backed away from Kai. "Dammit." 'Kai' cursed. Lloyd opened his mouth to yell for his parents. Morro covered Lloyd's mouth with Kai's hand "Nuh uh. You yell, I kill Kai. Got it?" Lloyd nodded "Good." Morro moved Kai's hand away from Lloyd's mouth

"What do you want? You can't possess me, I'm wearing deepstone." Lloyd said holding up his necklace

"Oh yeah, that stupid little charm. Didn't forget about that." Morro smirked as he grabbed the metal chain of the necklace, and pulled Lloyd towards him

Kai's face turned red but Morro continued to smirk. "Kai's face is red."

Morro lost his smirk "Dammit, stop thinking gay thoughts!" He hit himself in the forehead

Lloyd turned red "W-What?!"

"You're friend's being gay." Morro dragged Lloyd over to the window and shoved him out onto the fire escape. Morro climbed out the window and held a knife to Kai's throat. "Take the necklace off, or your friend dies."

"O-Okay, okay!" Lloyd took the necklace off. "There. There!" He tossed the necklace back into his room. "There. Please let Kai go."

"Gladly." Morro unpossessed Kai, and flew at Lloyd. A barrier appeared around Lloyd "Why can't I possess you!?"

Kai weakly looked at Lloyd, and climbed into the window. Lloyd knew Kai was going to get Garmadon and Misako. "Did you think the necklace was the only thing my uncle gave me?" Lloyd held up his arm, there on his wrist was a bracelet of deepstone

"Dammit Wu." Morro growled "Take off the bracelet or I'll kill- WHERE'D HE GO!?"

Immediately after Morro yelled Garmadon and Misako burst into Lloyd's room "Mom, Dad!" Lloyd exclaimed "I am having the second worst birthday ever!"

"This doesn't top last year?" Garmadon asked jokingly

"Dad. Nothing will ever top last year. That birthday will forever be the worst birthday ever."

"Fair enough." Garmadon said as he picked up Lloyd's necklace "Is this deepstone?"

"Yeah, Uncle Wu gave it to me."

"Good." Garmadon stabbed Morro with the charm on the necklace "STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY!" He yelled as Morro disappeared "Good riddance."
