Chapter 22

It had been hours. Just hours since it happened. Lloyd was in the hospital, he had miraculously survived. With several broken bones of course, but he survived no less. Classmates, and upperclassmen all came to visit him, apologizing for how they'd acted. How they'd treated him for years. Lloyd, forgave them, telling them over and over, "It's okay, it's fine." But he knew deep inside, it was only because he was the green ninja that they were apologizing. If he was just some normal teen, they wouldn't have cared less if he had lived or died. Finally, his friends came. "Hey." Kai smiled as he, Nya, Cole, Zane, and Jay walked in

"Hey." Lloyd replied tiredly

"We come with candy!" Nya smiled as she held up a large bag of War Heads and other sour candies

Lloyd smiled "Thanks guys."

After his friends had all entered, his mother came in "Lloyd." She said, near tears, she wanted to hug him

"Hey Mom, I wish I could give you a hug, but uh, broken arm." Lloyd joked, earning a light laugh from his mom

"Lloyd, what you did was dangerous, and reckless." Misako frowned "But, you saved your classmates, and Ninjago. You're such a good boy."

Lloyd smiled sadly "I wish Dad wasn't like this." He sighed "I wish he'd just back off, and leave Ninjago alone."

"Lloyd, sweetie, your father wants to be good, I'm sure, but the Devourer's venom took him over a long time ago. Nothing can bring back who he once was."

"Where there is darkeness, there will soon be a light that outshines all, protecting the good. Even bringing those who have been taken back." A voice said from the door

"Uncle Wu!" Lloyd smiled

"Hello Nephew." Wu smiled "My reckless Nephew."

"Everyone is calling me reckless today." Lloyd joked

Everyone laughed. "Misako, may I speak to Lloyd alone?" Wu asked

"Of course, Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole, Nya, let's go." Misako said as she dragged Lloyd's friends out the door

"Lloyd. As you know, your power is immensely strong." Wu said plainly once it was just him and Lloyd

"Yeah, why, is something wrong Uncle?"

"There are some people who will try to take advantage of you, to harm you. You need to know, that your power will only grow."

"Is something going to happen Uncle?"

"There are things, even I do not know Nephew."

Suddenly the TV turned on. "Did you...?" Lloyd asked, pointing at the TV

"No, I did not." Wu replied as the news showed, the new anchor standing with an excited face, outside the hospital

"Oh no." Lloyd mumbled

"This is Channel Five news, rumors are out that the well known local teen, Lloyd Garmadon, is the Green Ninja. We're here at Ninjago City Hospital to find out!" The News Anchor said cheerily "Lloyd was taken here after he supposedly attacked his father's mech with an orb of green energy, according to a large group of local teens, and a gym teacher. Let's find out if it's true." The anchor walked into the front of the hospital "Hi, I'm Patty from News Channel Five, I was hoping I could meet with one of the patients."

"Who are you looking for?" The receptionist replied a worried smile on her face

"Lloyd Garmadon."

"There's a group of family and friends up there now so you'll need to wait."

"I'm sure he'll be okay with just a few more people."

"Ma'am, he fell from over three hundred yards in the air just over three hours ago. Seven people is more then enough for him to see at a time."

"Who is with him exactly?"

"His Mother, his Uncle, and five friends. Now, please wait until at least his friends leave before even going near his room." The receptionist said, Lloyd saw in the corner of the screen his mom enter the elevator

"Thank goodness, they didn't see Mom." Lloyd sighed as the elevator door closed

"Of course. I understand." The anchor sighed "Well Ninjago City, you'll have to wait a while more to get your proof on the rumors." With that, static filled the TV screen

Misako walked into the room "There's a news anchor downstairs."

"Yeah, we just saw before the TV started being weird." Lloyd replied as the static disappeared, the news anchor had cornered Nya, who had a water bottle in her hand "Oh no."

"So, you're Nya Smith right?"

"Yeah? You need something?" Nya replied as she unscrewed the cap on the water bottle

"Yes, rumor has it, you're friends with Lloyd Garmadon."

"Yeah, I have been for a while. Why?"

"Why did you become his friend?"

"He was lonely. My brother and I would always see Lloyd sitting alone at lunch and during study hall. So one day I stood up and just kind of, walked over and sat with him. He immidietly told me that if I was going to call him a freak, to just do it and go away. I didn't go away. I smiled and said 'Hi, I'm Nya.'"

"That's a sweet story, so you became his friend out of pity?"

"No. I became his friend because despite what people thought, he's a great person."

There was more, but my Wattpad was stupid and didn't save the rest. So this is what is being posted, I'll post the next chapter when I get what I wrote earlier written again.
