Chapter 8- Trouble in the City

Morning came and Summer decided to beat the maids by getting dressed herself. The White Queen took her back to the Rose Kingdom to show her more.

When they were in the bedroom, there was a boom and screams outside. She heard the scream of a jabberwocky and went out onto the balcony. She could see smoke from the edge of the city and reacted. When The White Queen came out to get her inside, Summer had already jumped down from the balcony and ran onto the roof. She jumped down from the roof. The Maids came out onto the balcony to see her Run across the roof and got scared.

"SUMMER," the queen yelled "SUMMER, NO IT'S NOT SAFE." Summer kept running. Into the City she ran throwing off her brown rages. When SUmmer got into the city, she saw the Queen of Hearts releasing her men on a crowd of children as the others ran from her. Summer Grabbed a sword and ran into the crowd of children slaying The Red Queen's men.

"STAY AWAY FROM THEM," Summer Yelled. She was so fast that The Red Queen's men couldn't react as well to her impact. She slashed at their chests and rammed into them. The dirty children ran into a shop with their pouches filled with sweets. When all of the men were killed on the ground, The jabberwocky came out from the top of a building. It came at Summer and she looked it straight in the eyes. When it saw her eyes, it retreated and flew behind where the Queen of Hearts stood. Some of the people where on the side near the buildings and a few stepped forward. The Queen of Hearts looked around and then glared at Summer, looking her down. Summer took a fighting position, but didn't move.

She looked behind her at her apprentice and signaled him over. He came over and drew his sword as the Red Queen said, "Off with her head."

He walked to her spinning his sword and she spotted a gun shop with in a quick glance. He smirked at her, but Summer glared at him. A voice came through the streets, "SUMMER."

The White Queen ran through the streets towards the scene in her Peasant costume, but was too late to arrive to stop the fight. He swung his sword at Summer, but she blocked it with her own. As they fought, swords clashed and Summer kept trying to kick him and use her combat training. She was kicked against one of the walls and that was it for her sanity. Summer Lunged at him and used her semblance to try and slice him apart. He dropped his sword and she picked it up. She smashed the metal against the ground and it shattered. When he tried to trick her to get her sword, Summer put her sword to his neck in a headlock. Both The White Queen and The Red Queen watched Summer express her insanity throughout the fight. The Queen of Hearts apprentice slammed her against the wall with his hands around her neck. Summer kicked him in the stomach and uppercut a punch to his jaw as she yell, "NOT TODAY BUSTER."

He fell to the ground and tried to get up, but Summer, stepped on him. He put his hands up, "I surrender."

The Red Queen was shocked at the fight and so was The White Queen. Summer looked down at him and bent down, "By no means your act of my fate here is impervious." Summer kicked his head and knocked him out.

Summer looked up at the group of kids hiding in the gun shop and they came out. Summer then looked up at The red Queen, "You have NO right to kill whoever you want here. Even in your own kingdom. Who do you think you ARE when you go around killing people when they don't do what you want? What do you get out of that? It doesn't show power."

"Those little children stole from me while me and my Troops were checking on this city. They deserve to get their heads cut off," The Queen of hearts replied.

"That's an excuse. THEY'RE ORPHANS. They have No Choice to," Summer began to yell, "By God. Are you Mad?"

"I believe that's what you should ask yourself," The Red Queen talked back.

"Well answer My Question to You're behalf and I'll tell you myself if I am," Summer said.

"No, I'm Not," Replied the Queen of hearts.

"I'm not either. I'm defensive of myself and others. Don't you dare kill anyone here. Especially children," Summer continued.

The Red Queen walked through the crowd of her shoulders and looked Summer straight in the eyes, "I can do whatever I want. Who are you to tell me what I can or can't do?"

"You know who I am now," Summer replied. She pointed to her apprentice, "Your Lucky I didn't kill him to."

"You are mad, Girl," said The Red Queen. She noticed Summer's Eyes as Summer stared her down. Summer was taller than The Queen of hearts so it was easier for her, "Where did you come from, Girl?"

"I'll never tell you. You don't deserve to know my story," Summer put her walls up. The White Queen's eyes widened from beneath her brown hood. Things just got intense.

"You'll be sorry, Girl," said The Red Queen. She turned around and left on her Jabberwocky. Everyone cheered for Summer and Summer looked around her. She walked to the White Queen and together they left. Summer felt uncomfortable.

When they got into the carriage, the White queen took off her Brown cloak and smiled at Summer, "I think you can be queen now. I now see you are so much more."

Summer was looking out of the window as they road back,"Can I tell you something your Highness?"

"Yes? What is it?" The White Queen became concerned.

Summer looked down at her lap, "I have a child and now that I am no longer in her world, I'm scared for her."

"Oh, Summer... I didn't know."

"She's only two and I'm not sure if Tai, and Qrow can handle the pressure of having her while Tai's kid there."

"Shh. I'm sure She'll be fine."

"But she won't knowing that her mother is gone."

The White Queen looked down. When they get back to The White Queen's castle, Summer went to go freshen up for Lunch and The White Queen took care of some business throughout the castle. Summer came down to the patio and sat down in a chair at the table. The White Queen's cooks came through the doors, setting out a feast in front of her and later The White Queen and her court came out as well. After everyone sat down, The White Queen motioned for Summer to come over to her and Summer did. The White Queen stood up, "This is Summer Rose."

Everyone was watching the two and Summer waved, "Hi."

The patio filled with talking, until The White Queen silenced them. They did as they were told and The Queen continued, "She will be with us until she is ready to begin her reign of The Rose Kingdom."

Everyone at the table got excited, but remained calm. They all smiled until a huge man at the end of the table stood up and said, "Let's all propose a toast to this glorious piece of information." Everyone raised their cups and cheered. After lunch, Summer went to her room to rest on her bed. Today was exhausting. For the next couple of years, Summer learned new pieces of history and explored Wonderland. She visited the same orphan kids anytime she could to give them food and water. She later earned her title to rein the throne.
