Chapter 17- The Horror of All fights

Ruby got up that morning and decided that she wanted some time to herself so she got dressed and went out for a walk. As Ruby was on her walk, she spotted some of The Queen of Hearts men entering the city so she went in the woods so she wouldn't be seen. One of them saw her and ran towards her, "Get her."

Ruby immediately ran deep into the woods. She ran for three minutes deep into the woods without a thought of where she was going and looked back to see them chasing her. SHe tripped on a tree stump and stumbled off of a small clifft, rolling down the hill side. She spotted a cave with an open door and went inside of it. It was empty. She shut the door and was in complete darkness. She heard them converse in confusion.

"Where did she go. She's a part of the Rose Kingdoms people."

"I don't know, but we need to get her or it is off with our heads."

"Man, I can't wait wait until we find her. She'd make a fine trade,"

Ruby put her hands to her mouth in disbelief, What? They are capturing the Rose Kingdom's citizens and putting them through cruelty? I must warn mom.

When the men left, Ruby came out of the cave and peaked above the rocky part. She saw them leaving and stayed down until they were gone. Once they were gone, She tied herself back up the hill. It had been and hour on trying to find her way back until she saw she was lost. It had been almost 2 hours in the woods until she heard someone call her name, "RUBY, RUBY, RUBY, RUBY?"

It was her mother's voice. She ran towards it as she replied, "MOM?"

She finally saw her mother with the sword and her mother saw her. Summer ut her sword back on her hilt and Rand to her daughter. They met in a hug, "Ruby! You scared me."'

"I also found something out," Ruby replied.

Summer loosened her hug and looked at Ruby, "What?"

"The citizens of the Rose Kingdom are being killed and the people in the castle are being enslaved."

"I'm so glad I got us to leave. Come on. Let's get back to the White Queen's castle before anyone else sees us out here."

They went back to the castle and Ruby went to go tell the others. Summer went to The White Queen to talk about what to do.

"Her men are in my kingdom," The White Queen couldn't believe her ears.

"Yes," Summer replied, "She might be coming here any minute now. Marina, I now fear her as much as I tried to be nice and forgiving to her. What should I do?"

"You mean, What should WE do? She attacked you for the book and you had to come to me for help. Since it is my sister, that makes us both in the fight," Marina replied, "Knowing my sister, she is deadly when she gets extremely angry."

Summer heard the door come open and looked over to see a guard, "Your highness, it is the Queen of Hearts,she is here in the castle and on her way up."

After the Guard left, The White Queen quickly shoved Summer behind the curtains, "Stay here, don't move. I'll handle her for right now. Just watch and learn"

"Okay," Summer replied.

When Marina left her behind the curtains, she heard the Red Queen storm through the door, "WHERE IS SHE?"

"Where is who," Marina replied. Summer peeked from behind the very tiny opening of the curtains.

"The Rose Queen," Said The Red Queen in frustration. She was not happy.

"Ahh, Her," Replied The White Queen. She was pretending like she didn't know where Summer was, "I don't know where she is."

"Yes you do. You're just covering it up." The Red Queen sounded in suspect.
