RWBY The Summer Rose Series Book 1- Roses in Wonderland

Chapter 6- As Life Went On.

Qrow came out from the Hospital without Summer. He went home to tell Tai the sad news. Ruby and Yang found out that they wouldn't have a mother for the rest of their lives in that house. They set a memorial stone with her name on it and for the next ten years, Tai tried to raise the family under Yang's help. She grew up more mature than her graduating class in high school, but was an alcoholic like her uncle. Tai tried to help Ruby do things as much as he could. Later Tai saved up to get Ruby a dog for when she was home alone and a year later Yang and Ruby found out how shoot Zwei into a fireball causing Yang's backpack to catch on fire. Both girls got grounded for the first time. The years went by and Yang got an invitation to Beacon. Ruby later earned her position to take the test with her and too went to the school. They had so many adventures with their team until the Vital Festival when Beacon fell. Ruby later left home in the winter on a mission with most of Team JNPR now as Team RNJR. They later met up with Ruby's Uncle during their fight with Tyrian. He got hurt and healed. It had been a month after and they went back on the road again.

One day, they decided to swim in a pond near where they set up camp. Juane splashed water at Nora and Nora splashed him back. Ruby sat near the edge on the pond in her swimsuit.

"Why don't you come in," Ren asked her as he swam up to her.

Ruby witnessed Yang slam Jaune in the water. Ruby shook her head," No. I'm good."

Weiss appeared next to her, "So you got into that swimsuit all for nothing."

Qrow was watching them from a tree. Yang came up to Ruby and tried to pull her in and Nora Came out to help get her in.

"Come ON Ruby, You'll Like IT," said Nora. She Pushed Ruby in.

"YYEEEAAHHHHEELP," Ruby yelled as she plunged in from Nora's push. Ruby opened her eyes under water and swam to the surface. The water felt nice, so Ruby decided to swim to the bottom and was about to go back up until she found something shiny under a rock.

Oscar came up to Nora, "What was that about?" He spotted Ruby swimming bellow.

"Told you she'd like it," Nora shushed him. Ruby Removed the rock to find a necklace with a red stone in it. The stone was shaped into a Rose and made the necklace a little heavy. She swam to the surface.

"GUYS, I FOUND SOMETHING," Ruby called. She got out of the water at the shore and went to show her friends the necklace. Her Uncle got down from the tree and came over. He came over and Ruby turned to him with it in her hand. She showed it to him. He looked at it. It flashed Silver with Summer in it and she handed it him. He looked at it again and it flashed again. It showed her sitting in a throne in white with her eyes shut. She looked sad. It flashed back to red and never flashed again.

"What is this Ruby," he asked her. Qrow looked up at his niece.

"I don't know," Ruby replied, "I just found it at the bottom of the pond."

He handed it back to her, "I'm not sure what it does, but put it back. We don't need anymore trouble on the road."

"But, maybe it belongs to someone," Ruby replied.

"Put it back, Ruby," said her Uncle. He walked away and Ruby dropped back in the water and watched it sink back down. Later that night, Ruby went back to the pond to go get the necklace back again. She had snuck back out in her swimsuit from the camp. She dove into the water. It was cold, but she didn't care. Swam deeper and deeper until she reached the bottom. She couldn't see very well so she came back up to sit on one of the rocks. She spotted something Red below her so she went back into the water. She found it lying there and she got out of the water with it. Ruby put it around her neck and went back to the camp. She took her clothes and changed behind a tree. She tucked the necklace in her shirt and came out behind the tree to go to bed.
