[THIRD POV]

Widowmaker walked along corridors, her heels sounding off the dark walls as she slipped out of the main Talon building, headed towards a small house
It was in the middle of nowhere

Small apartments and houses scattered around her as she ventured further, weapon held protectively against her body as she passed by people

They all looked away and pretended not to see her, trying to stay out of trouble. Children stared at her, pointing out her purple skin and her unique hair

She resisted the urge to give them smiles. She didn't feel normal acting like a human. She felt weirdly out of place when she did what instinct told her to do. To ease the worries of the younglings

She heard skipping, humming and the popping of gum and knew what was coming
She soon felt a pair of arms wrap around her shoulders and the weight of her teammate, Sombra, the hacker, make her heels dig into the dirt

She expressed her annoyance in a glare and the girl immediately let go with a teasing smile "Calm down, Spider" the girl was looking through files being projected from the device planted into her very body

It made Amelie shudder each time when she remembered that this freaking child willingly screwed a computer into her damned body and is still is living completely happy about that decision

Widow regretted not feeling, but didn't because she didn't exactly feel regret like everyone else. Everything was so complicated and simple at the same time. She didn't understand it.

She always felt the need to go visit her former husband's grave, but when she did she felt like it was a waste of time.
Mind you, it took very long to get used to the idea that she had a husband that she killed

They made it to a big stone building, the bricks covered with wooden planks for artistic effect or something Sombra insisted on having and Gabriel groaned about all the time

Widow opened the door, which was unlocked, and called out a "Reaper!" As she entered and Som yelled a "GABE!" That immediately got him down the stairs

"Awh were you sleeping?"
"Emphasize on was" he replied coldly making her giggle, walking away while humming
"What is it, widow?" He asked and I nodded towards the living where new plans and maps were laid from the last night

"Me and you are supposed to go get Doomfist's—" she cut off by Sombra "Yeah some special mission after our infiltration mission. Focus on that for a sec" Sombra, for once in reaper's opinion, had a point. They didn't need to worry about the second mission if they hadn't planned out the first one

"Well, let's get to it then"

Meanwhile-

The people gathered around in the small room looked up, seeing a man wearing a leather jacket. It was blue, black and red

Ana's eye widened as she realized who that was
"Jack?" Pharah asked, pulling away from Reinhardt and approaching him

He grunted and glanced at everyone who was there before sighing. There was Fareeha, Ana, Rein, Lena, Winston who just walked in and mei

She appeared to have just arrived.
His eyes widened beneath his visor at the sight of mei, who didn't recognize him
"Commander Morison. Great to have you back" Lena said with a wide smile

Mei's eyes bulged before she gave him a smile
They all sat down as Reinhardt was telling them one of his many stories. A little later Zarya arrived and she and Rein talked and laughed loudly the entire night, shoving and joking

Jack had a piece of him that felt at home.
And another that felt estranged. Like he didn't belong. Like someone was missing.
And someone was.

..a lot of people were

Jack sighed at his inability to even admit that he missed the one he cared for so deeply once. That he was the reason they died.
Of course, he knew he wasn't. It wasn't their fight it was never their fight that blew the place up.

It was always Talon.
But, why did he leave that day?
Why did he leave Mercy screaming after him?
Why did he turn his back to the one person who put him back together, getting millions of cuts in the process? What even happened that day?

Jack wondered what he was thinking that day
Maybe he wasn't thinking at all
He wasn't ready to do so either
He didn't want to think

Not about all the mistakes he's made towards the one person who mattered the most and judged the least. He couldn't.
