The first bank of questions followed a similar pattern.
YOU are the nobles?
You left with no advance notice of your arrival here?
You walked?
You had companions with you for a while. Not hired guards? Not any servants?
You are the nobles?
The second bank of questions was very similar, but had more people there.
They moved us to a larger room for the interviews.
They asked me to prove the power of my noble husband. So, I asked him to lift the largest stone they presented (much smaller than the portico roof).
That led to other questions. Can he lift more than that? Are you using obligation bonds, it appeared like you simply asked him to do it?
By the end of the first day of questions, we had not gotten to any of my questions about removing obligation bonds.
On the second day, there were about forty in the larger room.
I did my best to describe my life before arriving here.
They informed me that the deity I created a relationship with had turned over my hairs to this committee. In exchange, they would permit me access to learning books that were here.
I went right away. They set many books out for me. An archivist smiled while standing in front one book.
The illustrations had a familiar look (even though they appeared to be hand drawn).
I found that illustration I saw on the first morning. A man and woman seated equally under a golden arch.
I asked the archivist what the topic of the chapter in the book.
His reply was calm and measured "Destructive and Corruptive Laxity and other Social High Crimes."
