Imperfections (Zalfie)

Alfie payed for the dinner and we practically fell out the door laughing.

Alfie can always make me laugh no matter what. I love spending time with him.

"Oh wow, did you see his face?" I laughed.

"Yes! It was hilarious" Alfie laughed with me.

"C'mon, lets take you home" Alfie said, opening the car door for me after I had calmed down.

I got in and started to feel a little sleepy. Alfie got in the other side and started the car.

I turned on the radio and soft music came on. This really isn't helping my tiredness.

I leaned my head against the window and closed my eyes feeling myself slowly drift off into nothingness.

I was awoken about 30 minutes later as the car stopped and so did the music.

"Hey sleepy head" Alfie joked.

I just smiled back at him and rubbed my eyes, waking myself up a little more.

Alfie got out of the car and so did I.

He walked me up to my front door where we stood for a moment.

"Well, thank you for the date, it was amazing" I smiled widely.

"Thank you for coming" He replied.

We stood there, neither of us moving.

"Zoe, you're amazing, and I couldn't have asked to meet a better girl. To me you are perfect. Anxiety doesn't define who you are. You are perfect with or without it. You are so beautiful and can always make me laugh. I'm always happy when I'm around you and I want to be like that for the rest of my life" He paused as tears welled up in my eyes at his speech, "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, holding my hands.

I breathed out shakily. Did he really just ask me to be his girlfriend?

I must have been silent for a long time because Alfie's smile dropped and I saw some hope disappear from his face.

"Of course" I smiled

Alfie's face lit up once again, "Really?" He asked in disbelief

I nodded happily as happy tears ran down my cheeks.

He picked me up from the waist and spun he around, putting me down the opposite we were previously.

He kept his hands on my waist and looked deeply into my eyes.

The next thing that happened was amazing.

He kissed me.
