*100 READS AND I'LL UPDATE*

I was abruptly woken up by banging on the door.

"Get that Joe" I grunted

When no one answered, I realised Joe wasn't here.

I groaned, that meant I had to get up.

The banging continued, "I'm coming!" I was getting a bit pissed by now.

"What?" I said as I opened the door. My face fell

I attempted to shut the door but a foot stopped me, "Please Zoe, just let me in"

He was making me cave in. I couldn't give in and let him in. I just couldn't.

"No. Go away Alfie" I said.

He still wouldn't budge.

"Please" He begged, "Just 5 minutes"

Okay okay, I gave in.

I opened the door wider and let him in, an annoyed look on my face.

I practically slammed the door behind him and he jamp a little. He has no idea how annoyed, rejected, angry but most importantly upset at him right now.

"Let me explain" He said when he saw the look on my face

"Explain what Alfie?!" I shouted, making his face turn shocked, my voice was higher than I thought. "How we spent a great day and night together and you just LEAVE in the early hours of the morning?! No explanation or nothing?!" I started crying.

I felt so embarrassed and rejected. I had so many emotions running through me.

He put his hand out and touched my arm, "Don't touch me" I yanked my arm away.

He look so hurt. Not like I cared anymore anyway.

"Leave" I said

"What?" He asked, puzzled

"I said leave" I pointed to the door.

"Please Zoe" He begged

"JUST LEAVE" I shouted

"I  was at the hospital!!" He shouted back

I froze. What?

"What?" I voiced my thoughts

"I was at the hospital" He repeated. "Marcus was in a car accident. Niomi phoned me and I went straight there. I couldn't process anything. I'm so sorry for leaving you. I fell asleep and woke up when I texted you. He started having a cardiac arrest. Then I remembered that I just left you here"

A few tears fell down his cheeks and I felt so bad. He left to go to the hospital for his best friend. How could I be so selfish? I should have let him explain.

"I'm so sorry Alfie" That's when he broke down.

He fell to the floor in tears.

I crouched down next to him and took him in my arms. I soothingly rubbed his back and whispered in his ear.

He started sniffling as the tears subsided.

"Shh, it's okay" I said

He leaned more into me until he was practically lying on my lap.

I put my hand on his head and started ruffling his hair to relax him.

Before I know it, he has fallen asleep on me.

I don't bother to try and move him, he has had a hard day.

I feel myself getting more tired by second and before I know it, we have fallen asleep in each others arms.
