Miley's POV

I watched the back of Nick's car drove slowly away until it finally disappeared. I sighed and walked away from the window and closed the drapes before approaching the bed and let myself collide with the mattress.

My body dived into the messy sheets as I tried to ignore the sick and aching feeling that begin to wash over me. This always happens when Nick left, especially when I had to watch him leave.

No matter how many oaths I took to not return to him I always do, and he always ended up leaving anyway.

I am legitimately obsessed and crazy into finding out his real feelings for me. Sure he said he loved me, but that was before I threw him away and pulled him back and dissed his girlfriend and told him about this blackmailing bullshit that is sure to confuse him.

But he's not the only one confused, there's also me trying to figure out all these mixed signals. I don't know if he wants me or not, and he never really told me anything anyway. I always had to force it out of him, but all of a sudden he turned around and tried to kiss me when I was trying to comfort him.

I'm not sure if I wanted him back, but honestly there is this little part of me that maybe, possibly somehow knew it could work, but the rest of me know its not and it's not worth it. But I also have this aching need inside of me that hasn't decided...that's still unsure if maybe something came up and it could change my mind about him.

And if it were ever to came up I wanted it to be the only thing I always want from him; to fight for me.

I closed my eyes and dived deeper into the pillows and the familiar sweet scent of Nick filled my nostrils. I almost smiled to the thought, but I remembered everything that I just thought through. But I couldn't escape the thought of Nick, his scent, his touch...

I jerked away from the bed when I heard another car pulling into the driveway. I jumped to my feet and scurried to the window where I could see a silhouette behind the black tinted windows. My eyes widened and closed the drapes before backing away, trying my best to not make any sound as if anyone in that car was able to hear my footsteps.

I thought about the worst of who it could be and my heart began racing. I didn't want to stare at the car any longer because I was terrified into finding out who it could be.

A few knocks was heard from the front door and my head snapped to the direction of it. I almost froze in place but I collected the courage "Who is it?" I called, my voice shaky.

"It's Demi." She replied and relief was over me. I approached the closet and pulled it open before searching it contents. "It's unlocked, Dem." I called again as I pulled out a shirt and a pair of shorts since I hadn't worn anything when Nick came.

"Can you open it for me, please?" She called and I raised my eyebrow in confusion. Demi probably had a lot to carry and she couldn't open the door because her hand was full. I giggled to myself when the thought of Demi carrying Olivia's unconscious body entered my mind. I remembered when she texted me saying she punched Olivia and knocked her out since she was so eager to left.

"I'm coming," I replied as I slipped into my clothes before opening the bedroom door and walked out of the room. I approached the front door and reached the knob and opened it quite quickly. "Why do you need me to-" I stopped dead in my sentences to the sight before me.

"Surprise, Miley." She said as a smile crept up to her lips. I stared at the sight blankly as I backed away slowly. Olivia had her arms around Demi's neck as Demi whimpered, her eyes wet and scared. Her fingers was wrapped around a gun and the barrel was pointing into Demi's skull.
