Chapter 29

Merome's POV

All the kids stared at me.

"How did you... know how to do that so fast?" One of the boys asked. "Your only five."

"Six." I replied, smiling.

"Your only six."

"Well, I used to do double Dutch with my neighbors." I sighed, remembering daddy and papa.

"That's... incredible!" A girl said. Everyone started clapping and I blushed slightly. "I'm Anna, welcome to Everest Orphanage!"

Wait... orphanage? What am I doing here? ...Oh yeah, daddy doesn't love me. I looked up at the banister and the man who brought me here was gone.

"Alright, children!" A lady came in. "It's adoption day!" We were all ushered into a plain room and stood in a straight line. The lady walked out of the room and someone flicked me in the back of the head and I heard snickering. I looked to my right to see a boy about 8 years old laughing quietly with his friends. The lady walked in and the boys quickly stopped as a man and a woman walked in.

"Felix!" The redhead woman said as the man lightly pushed her.

"What! I can't help it!" The man shrugged, chuckling.

"This is Felix and Marzia." The lady said. "Please introduce yourselves."

It went down the line. Felix and Marzia would ask a few questions then move on to the next person until Marzia got to me.

"Hello there!" She said in an Italian accent. "What's your name?"

"I'm Merome." I said politely, bowing slightly. Marzia chuckled.

"So, tell me a little bit about yourself."

"Well," I didn't know where to begin. "My papa was a vampire." I heard chuckling from the orphanage.

"How old are you?" Marzia asked.

"Six." I replied, confidently.

"Do you like playing games?" My eyes brightened.

"I love games!" Marzia smiled.

"Felix!" She shouted.

"What!"

"Come take a look at Merome here!" All of a sudden, Felix appeared next to Marzia.

"She's pretty." Felix whistled and I felt a blush sneak it's way on to my face.

"She likes games, and her papa was a vampire!" Marzia stated.

"We'll take Merome here." Felix shouted to the orphanage lady. Marzia held out her hand and I took it. She led me to where the orphanage lady's desk was.

"You all can go back to playing now!" The lady exclaimed.

"Bye, Double Dutch Queen!" Anna said, waving at me. I waved back with a smile. Anna turned and ran over to the double Dutch ropes and I turned my attention back to Marzia and Felix who were signing some papers. Felix handed the papers back to the lady and picked me up.

"You ready to go back to Sweden with us?" Felix asked.

"Sweden?"

"It's where we live." He shrugged and put me down as we began walking out to the car.

"Then, why didn't you adopt a Swedish child?" I asked.

"Because." Marzia said, smiling at Felix. "Swedish kids are brats."

"Hey!" Felix said, pushing Marzia again. Marzia laughed.

Yeah. Pewdiepie. Is that ok, IMAmudkip? I have too many ideas that involved Merome being far away.
