Dedicated to everyone reading this. I love you all💗💞❤💕💖

"I love you" he said huskily and she felt my heart stop and there was suddenly a lump her my throat.
She silently begged myself nor to break down. I don't want to cry. I actually want to but not now. I wouldn't want a situation whereby Maman Sadiya will force me to narrate what happened and when I start to narrate in between sobs, them Ummu would come when I'm halfway through and needs to hear the story from the beginning and before I would realize what's happening, I'll spend the rest of the day with hiccups, she thought.
She wasn't able to utter a word ever since I love you was said to her. When did I become this..?  she asked herself not knowing the right word to use. Those three days they spent together were one of the best days in her life.
He came the next day as he promised and they went out. "We went to know where in particular" she said while narrating everything to the uninterested Nana. "We just drove around Lagos stopping by at any random place we feel is worth seeing."
Things seemed so different when they were together. They didn't have any worries and thought of no one for the main time. They didn't have to think of being caught by Amma who has moved on. The last time they spoke with Minal, she narrated to her how she and Yasir were crazily in love with each other and Minal just hoped things would work out well for them.
She remembered how he people kept asking if they were couples and he kept saying saying they were married with two kids. "Wow! You are so lucky to have such a pretty wife" a policeman commented. "You might have to start using Niqab when we get married" he said after thanking the policeman with a fake smile plastered on his face. They had so much fun in this three days he spent in Lagos and she wished life would keep moving on like that but it's over for now. He has to leave.
"Would you want me to miss my flight?" she heard him ask and she nodded. "Wow Minal. Like seriously?! Don't worry I promise to visit as soon as I can OK? Wish me luck Minal" he said smiling down at her.
"Hey! Let me show you something." She waited for the 'something' as his attention was on his phone. "Here he said" refusing to give her the phone. It was a picture of her. She studied closely and she was stunned. How did he do this? She was wearing a red Laffaya and her hair was open. And also, she was looking like one who just saw a ghost. He took this picture the day he came and broke the good news to her. She looked so funny.
"Umar!" she cried and made an attempt to snatch the phone. "Hey woman. Watch out. You know I'm stronger " After so many unsuccessful attempts, she just had to give up and watch him put his phone back into his pocket with a smirk on his face.
After saying 'Byes' to Maman Sadiya and Ummu, she saw him off to the car and watched him get inside without uttering a word to him. She warned him not to say a word to her when they go out. "Don't say a word to me and also don't turn for a final goodbye." she said when they were out of the living room. Now he wanted to talk to her one last time and wave but he remembered her words and asked the driver to leave. She watched the car leave with teary eyes and ran to her room in order to avoid Maman Sadiya for the mean time.

"I sat close to a beautiful lady" he said causing her to roll her eyes. "So?" she asked not sounding interested.
"Well, she started to flirt with me but I didn't hesitate to tell her I have a wife. Although, that helped matters because she said nothing after that but when we landed, she asked for my number."
"And you gave her...?" she asked peeled an orange slowly at the sink letting the curl lengthen under the glint of the knife. "Well, I didn't. She gave me her phone to dial mine and then I dialed a wrong number. You see that's why you need to trust me" he said smirking at no one in particular. Al-Amin was working on something on his laptop and didn't have time for the love birds.
"Have you told Mummy and  your sister and Al_Amin"She asked inspecting her injury. How did she manage to get cut, she thought as she pressed the wound. "Nope. I will later at night In SHA ALLAH. By the way Al-Amin said Hi"
"Oh Al-Amin! " she said remembering how Nana has accused him. "Can I speak to him. Please! " she asked.
"Nope! He can call you later. I don't share my time" he said which earned him death glares from Al-Amin". "Well, I'll have to go now babe. We'll have to go and pick Adda from the airport. "I love you" he said the last words close to Al-Amin's ears. "Later. Bye" she said and ended the call. He sat down on the bed with a thud.
Doesn't she love him? He thought as he continued to stare at the phone. "She has never said I Love You to him and she doesn't reply back when he says so. He totally forget he was teasing Al-Amin who seemed to be having a bad time.
"I'll be leaving to go get Adda" Al-Amin said combing his hair. "I'm coming along with you" Umar said "And I'm ready ". Al-Amin didn't utter a word till he was done combing his hair and beards."Mummy said you should stay behind. Don't worry, I don't forget to get you an ice cream. Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry? " he said now rubbing his head. "Or which flavour ?" he added smirking at him. It was as if he was talking to a three year old.
Umar was too disappointed to utter a word. When would his mum stop being over protective. She said she doesn't like seeing him moving around in that wheelchair that's why she had been restricting his movements. "You have to be careful Umar and stop playing around. Can't you wait till you heal properly? " she would always say whenever he mentions going out with his friends or when he wanted to play basketball. "Well, everything will end tonight In SHA ALLAH "
That night, they were all seated in the living room excluding Al-Amin who went to grab some things for Adda. "Don't worry Umar. I'll be here for only few day and you can take over" she teased. Her head was on mummy's laps as mummy braided her hair.
"You can stay for as long as you like. Just know I would gladly throw your things out when your husband comes" she threw a pillow at him and he was about to do the same when his eyes landed on his mother who has this amused look on her face. "You are lucky this time but I won't leave you next time" he said dropping the pillow on the floor.
"Are you going to hit me even when mummy is sitting close to me? It can hit her you know" she said winking at him. "I know that's why I didn't hit you today but remember I'm very strong. I can easily lift you and take you somewhere " he boasted."I'll love to see how you'll do that with your wheelchair. " she said.
Only the noise from the TV could be heard as they sat in comfortable silence after mummy has complained on their childishness. There was a knock at the door and Umar felt it was the right time to surprise them. "It should be Al-Amin. I'll see to it. Don't bother"he said to his sister who made an attempt to stand up.
He stood up and went while she lay back on her mother's lap. They both caught a glimpse of his wheelchair at the same time and his sister quickly sat up as she stared at him open mouthed. His mother froze as she watched her son back on his feet. He could feel their gazes on his back as he unlocked the door for Al-Amin.
"You took long" he said and moved making way for Al-amin to pass. The sound of shattering glasses brought mummy and Adda back to reality. Mummy's cook who brought them some fruit juice let the tray slip off absentmindedly while Al-Amin dropped his phone and the nylon bag he was holding on the floor. He quickly got over his shock and pulled his best friend into a hug fiercely.
Umar felt the back of his shirt getting wet and he realized Al-Amin was crying. He pulled back and gave his friend a boyish smile. "Men don't cry" he said tapping his shoulder. Al-Amin punched him hard and went back to look at the things he dropped.
The ladies were crying. Mummy's cook was nowhere to be found as he left giving the family some space. He walked towards where his mother and sister were sitting but he had to stop halfway. Adda hugged him tightly and was crying really hard. "Alhamdulillah! " he heard her say repeatedly in between sobs.
"For how long have you been on your feet? " Al-Amin asked later that night. He couldn't just stop thinking of the fact that his friend could walk again. They can now play football together, basketball, go jugging and lot more which he hasn't done for months.
"I just realized today " he lied. "Don't lie to me. You actually walked quite perfectly. No limping. "
Umar told him the truth which earned him another punch. "That's for keeping something so important from me for over month. And hey, your punishment is that, I'm seizing your phone this night. You won't talk to Minal since she's the cause."
"She did nothing" Umar protested. "She was the reason why you didn't tell me this till today. " he said. And that was how the night ended without Umar speaking to Minal. She stayed awake till 3 am before she could finally shut her eyes. She was forced to sleep with the usual Good night and I love you and he was forced to sleep without the usual CHOCOLATISH DREAMS. And that night, he had  TUWOISH DREAMS.

..some will actually think I'm insane but no worries, I can explain what TUWOISH Dreams are if you wish to know.
