Aika,
I know that you've met me. You lived under the same roof as me for the first sixteen years of your life. After I moved, I'm not really sure what exactly happened between us, but we lost contact. We hadn't talked since the day I moved when I got your first letter. I know you, and you know me. I am your brother and you are my sister.
You want me to prove that I know you, right? I can prove that I've known you since we were children. When you were young, you had fiery red hair. You had bright green eyes and a wicked sense of humor. You loved to prank anyone and everyone. You once superglued a thumbtack to the teacher's purse during recess and filled her main desk drawer with glitter in 4th grade. When she tried to write you up for the thumbtack, she couldn't get to the forms because of the glitter. Instead, she ended up sending you to the principal with a sticky note saying "Glued a thumbtack to my purse and filled my desk with glitter. Room 208 needs more forms for write-ups" and a signature.
You want me to prove I'm your brother, right? I doubt I'll be able to do that in writing, but I'll give it a shot. When you were young, and I'm talking 5 or 6, you fell while running down a steep hill, and managed to scrape both your knees. Luckily, I saw and helped you get back home. We were the only ones on the hill, so nobody knew how you got injured, and I told you that if anybody asked, you were supposed to tell them "You should see the other guy." Nobody asked at school, but our parents, Wilkan and Arilyn, asked and you told them that. They became super confused and worried until I explained what I had told you, and then they fell down, they were laughing so hard.
Honestly, I don't care anymore if you don't believe I'm your brother. I just want you to realize that you know me, and I know you. I'm not lying to you when I say these things. I know you, and I know I am your brother. I hope these stories remind you, but if not, then it can't be helped, can it?
Please write back. That's all I ask.
~Kalarik
