Friends?

Jaces POV

"You know Diana, this is kind of fucked up." I growled stepping in front of her. She scrunched up her face in anger.

"Jace, we've already had this conversation. She will tear us apart if she's with you. I don't think you two should hang out." she told me, putting her hands on my chest.

"Baby this isn't fair though. You can have guy friends and girl friends but I can only have guy friends?" I questioned, removing her hands from my chest.

"I thought you'd never understand." she smiled happily leaning in to my lips, but I pulled back.

"I love Maria, as my little sister, and I love you as my mate, Diana. Mates are supposed to make their partner happy and you're not making me happy at all."

"Are you leaving me?" she asks, frowning.

"At least I'm not rejecting you." I said pulling away, I grabbed my back pack from the couch and walked out of her house, jogging to my motorcycle. I'm going to see my best friend.

Xavier's POV  *The Alpha*

She was just, beautiful. Her long dark brown hair flew down her back ending just at her waist.

Those beautiful light brown eyes of hers that held love. It was too obvious that she was still a virgin, which made me frown because she's going to make me wait to have her.

We were in her room, she was laying her head on my chest and then the door bursted open revealing Jace Martinez. I growled at him for scaring my mate as she was asleep and jumped when the door opened. "Jace? What do you want?" Maria growled getting off of me. I tried to keep calm because she was so warm and soft and now I'm cold.

"What's going on in here? Are you sleeping with the alpha?" Jace asked her.

"No, he's my um, mate. What are you doing here?"

"I came to apologize, for earlier. Diana and I are done."

"What? Why!? No don't leave her get out of my house and go back before my dad gets home." Maria ordered.

"Don't worry about that, he already knows about us." I smirked. "Go Jace," I demanded. He walked out of the room and then I heard the front door close. Maria sat in a chair and I sat on her bed. "What was that about?" I asked her. She looked up at me and sighed, "Jace and I have been friends since forever, today he told me Diana doesn't want us being friends anymore so I guess we aren't friends anymore. He was like, my older brother." she said softly.

"Where's your real big brother though? What's his name, Riley?" I asked and she laughed.

"His name is Rickey, and I don't know, I haven't seen him since dad kicked him out, he was my bestest friend and well, we did everything together. Mom hasn't been right ever since, she's trying to stay out of the house to keep her mind off things and dad, well dad works with you so..." she chuckled. I nodded and then she raised her eyebrows.

"What do you mean he already knows about us?" she asked.

"I told him when we were at the waterfall. He wasn't okay with it at first, but he is now." I smirked and all she did was nod. The moment I laid eyes on my mate, I knew nothing could separate us. Nothing at all. She was mine, I won't let anything in this word separate us.

The silence was broken by a knock at the front door. Maria got up and walked out of the bedroom, I followed her. We went downstairs and she opened the door. It was Jace, again. "What now?" I grumbled rolling my eyes. "Maria can I please talk to you?" he glanced at me. "Alone?" She sighed and then nodded. "Maria—" I began.
