The Call

Xavier's POV

Two years, and I haven't found my baby. I haven't talked to her. I haven't seen her. And I feel like I'm going to...die without her. I've became, a horrible person. I'm more, demanding and snappy. More, of an alpha than I've ever been. My pack, became the strongest pack in the nation and other packs fear me. Which is good because it'll teach others a lesson when they want to touch my mate.

I was sitting in my office tracking the incoming rogue's that dared to cross my border. It's kind of rare, that I have rogue's coming on my territory anymore. All the men in my pack, are risking their lives for my mate. And I feel horrible for some of the men thaf have died fighting to bring her back. That has been killed and it's my fault for their death.

"Alpha—" Jace began before my phone rang.

'Beep boo bop! Beep boo bop!' My phone rang. I reached into my pocket and pulled it out looking at the caller ID.

It read. I furrowed my eye brows together. Random number calling, that's not creepy at all. "H-Hello?" a shaky voice answered. The voice sounded unfamiliar. Very, unfamiliar.

"Who is this?" I asked.

"Xavier..." the voice cried. "It's Maria." Maria said, making my wolf howl in excitement.

Maria's POV

Two years has past. And I've given up hope. I've lived in disbelief, for two years. Also, fear, and shock. Darius, has died. Along with his mate who suffered her mates death. I felt terrible. I felt like, this was all uncalled for. Unnecessary. Cruel, and I've lived two years doing the same thing as I get up in the early morning.

My daily routine, is waking up, brushing my teeth, changing into the clothes I wore the day before, and then I have to cook all day for everyone else. Meanwhile, the man that claims I'm his daughter, torments me. However, he hasn't gone as far as raping me. My wolf and I haven't been in contact since I got kidnapped.

FLASHBACK (When her 'dad' explains the story)

"Your mother, was my mate before John. See, she rejected me after you were born because she told me that she didn't want a child but I had gave her one anyways. I was truly disappointed when I found out you were a girl. I hated you and I'm so, so sorry because now I see how much of a beautiful girl you've become." the man said in front of me.

I was completely shocked, was he telling the truth? "Xavier—" I began but before I could finish I felt a slap go across my face. I stared at the man in shock as he held a belt in his hand which was coated with wolfsbane. I swear he's stupid. "You know, that doesn't have an effect on me. Since my wolf is knocked out. I said. "Actually it feel good being human for once."

He growled loudly making me flinch. He then chuckled, "You're just like your mother. Pathetic. You think you have everything planned out but listen honey you don't. I will make sure, that you suffer and I promise that if you speak that bastard's name in my jail again you will not be getting a slap." he threatened.

"I never got your name." I groaned.

"Call me Leader." he said and I rolled my eyes at his cockiness. "Dismissed," he growled and then Jason came back in dragging me out of the room by my arm.

END OF FLASHBACK

Jason soon found his mate, he loved every bit of her and she hated him for treating me the way she did. Her name was Kim, she had two babies by him and was pregnant with the third now. Kim would come to my empty cell and talk to me about how she tried to convince him to let me go along with everyone else. But it had all ended with Jason beating the shit out of Kim and then with him being bipolar he'd apologize and force her into having sex with him. I used to try to escape, but last time I did I was hung upside down by my legs and whipped. I felt like a true child when it happened. I cry, every night hoping that one night, or day, my mate would come save me from this hell hole. "Knock, Knock sweetheart." that horrible voice yelled. I opened my eyes to see Seth standing on the other side of my bars. I frowned mentally as I realized what he was going to do to me. He opened the cell and shut it behind him using the same pick up line he used after Darius had died. "Darius can't save you know Maria." Seth says putting his phone on the top bunk. Before I knew it, the knife he had in his hand shot through my shoulder. He kept it there for a few seconds murmuring things about how 'Leader' was going to kill him now as I growled and screamed. "Please stop!" I cried and ge sighed before pulling the knife out and leaving. I stood up and wiped the blood off of my skin as it poured out. Something with a glare caught my eye. I turned my head to see Seth's phone on the top bunk. I smiled with hope and grabbed it. I immediately grabbed it and dialed Xavier's number. I smiled widely when the line picked up. "H-Hello?" my voice sounded shaky and scared.
