Maria's POV

"Shush, can't you see she's sleeping?!" Xavier whispered/shouted. My eyes shot open and I looked around. It was dark, yet a little bit of light came through the windows.

"My apologies alpha, but as we speak they are trying to help her." Simon's voice informed.

"Okay, I'll be there in five minutes to check her out." Xavier stated. Simon bowed before leaving while Xavier closed the door. He sighed and then started speaking really fast.

"I can never get any sleep, ever. It's always something, either with the rogue's or just normal trouble or I'm getting these stupid notes from whoever this Silver Bullet is. All I ever asked for in life was to be happy, I mean, I am but it's just this isn't what I expected happy to be like. I mean I have a pregnant mate, a family that I'd do anything for, the problem is...everyone is counting on me to just, make sure all the problems that are happening, disappear and it's not easy." Xavier talked to himself.

I frowned.

It's sad seeing him this way. I never knew how he actually felt about being an alpha. He has a lot on his mind I can see that. I think he just needs a few days to relax and get things off his mind.

"Xavier, are you okay?" I asked, him as if I didn't know what was going on.

"Huh? Yeah, why are you awake?" Xavier turned to face me.

"I'm not stupid, I heard your conversation with yourself and your not okay." I frowned.

He sighed and laid next to me.

"I just feel like I can't be normal." Xavier whined.

"Nobody's normal, Ashton. Think about it, you are like a God. Everyone looks up to you, they respect you, because that's their job while yours is to keep everyone in one peace. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you get. And this is what you got, you got the title of being an alpha, a soon to be father, a brother, a wolf, and more. So be happy about what you do because even though I don't go through what you go through I still know it gets easier." I smiled at him.

"Oh how I love you. You're the only one that fills me up with so much confidence." Xavier smiled at me.

"I love you too and you're welcome. Now what happened?" I ask.

"Hannah, Simon's mate, was outside and things got a little ugly when she and a rogue got into a fight. She's fine but she's a little beat up."

"Why are you still here?! Go help her!" I demanded.

"I will," he chucked. "But first, how was your sleep?"

"Amazing. I'm waiting for you to leave so I can get more sleep, apparently you won't shut up." I frowned.

"Okay. Fine. I'll go. I'll be back before you wake up."

"If your not, don't send someone to guard the door or sit in here with me while I sleep." I growled.

He put his hands up. "It's not my fault I care too much about you."

"Whatever," I groaned kissing him. He kissed back when I pulled away. He whimpered and I smirked. "Go, you have business to take care of baby,"

"Are you sure you two will be okay by yourself?" Xavier frowned.

"Yes. Me and our baby," I smiled.

He kissed my stomach then me and left. I smiled at the door. I'll miss him like hell but I miss sleeping more.

I woke up to a beeping phone. My eyes cracked open and I saw Derek sitting in a chair. He was smiling at his phone. I growled letting my wolf take over.
