Xavier's POV (Before they left.)

"Wait, I want to take one person home." Maria said stopping me.

"Who?" I asked.

"Him," she pointed to the man who claimed Maria was his daughter.

FLASHBACK

"I'm Maria's father, I wasn't expecting you to show up," the man said and I growled punching him repeatedly onto the ground.

END OF FLASHBACK

"No, Maria that man is dangerous and I don't want to ever lose you again." I growled.

"Xavier I have my own battles to fight like you do, so we are taking him home and that's the end of this conversation." she scowled. Man jail has really changed her. I want my Maria back! I gave in and nodded.

"I got it," the man I was going to tackle said. I think Maria told me his name was Jet. Jet picked up the man and nodded to me reassuring that he was fine.

I put Maria's weak and fragile body in the back seat of my jeep. She said she was fine but two years of being missing isn't fine. After still being unconvinced that Maria was fine, I let her sit in the back seat and stare out the window. Jace, Rickey and Derek were in the car with me so everything was ten times more sad as they cried tears of joy in the back seat. It pained me, seeing my baby cry knowing how helpless she was for two years. I saw her tears rolling down her pale cheeks. Maria wasn't Maria anymore. She was helpless Maria. She looked so beat up. Her skin was pale, her body was stiff. I saw almost every bone in her body. I knew she was hungry. But I didn't dare feed her the nasty greasy food at McDonald's or Taco Bell. I knew what she needed and what she loved.

"I love you, Maria." I said through mind link. Her eyes snapped to my direction and she smiled. I almost teared up seeing her smile that I missed so much. "I love you too, Xavier. All I thought about was you, the whole time." she said as her eyes drooped closed. Her breathing slowed so I knew she fell asleep. Derek laid her down across everyone's lap. Her head was on Rickey's lap, her waist and thighs were on Derek's and her legs were on Jace's. I smiled in adoration seeing her sleep.

"She's so tiny now," I said out loud.

"She's really light too." Derek said.

"I can't believe, I have my sister back." Rickey mumbled.

"Believe it." Jace said, smiling.

The rest of the car ride was silent. The sound of Maria sleeping, mumbling, and crying only. It really made me sad seeing they've tortured her to the point where she's screaming in her sleep. It made me want to kill everyone all over again. It made me want to beat the shit out of everyone all over again. It made me, want to tell Maria how sorry I was that I didn't come sooner. I felt bad, I should've thought about this way sooner than Rickey did.

*-*

As I pulled into the driveway of the pack house, I sighed before turning the Jeep off and getting Maria out. Rickey, Jace and Derek went inside as I carried ger upstairs. She looked at me with her beautiful light brown eyes. She smirked and wrapped her arms around me tighter. I felt way better than usual. My wolf wasn't growling anymore, he was off probably helping her wolf. I doubt her wolf is awake yet. It's probably still unconscious and weak like Maria is. "I'm so happy to see you," she mumbled. I smiled.

"You have no idea, how cold my bed was without you." I said.

"No, I have an idea." she chuckled softly. I reached our room, and I grinned.
