Jaces POV

She looked at me with a blank expression, as if she were studying me. I could tell she was shocked, angry, and more shocked. I left Diana for Maria, and I want her to leave alpha Xavier for me because, that's what love is, right? I think Maria and I always had a spark. I showed it but obviously she didn't. I wasn't surprised when she slapped me across my face.

I closed my eyes and breathed in and out slowly, controlling my wolf as he continuously growled at her. "I can't believe you, out of all people would want me to do that. I thought you liked the fact that I had a mate, I thought you were happy for me. And about Diana, what the hell, is wrong with you? You rejected her? Why? Jace I'm sorry I just don't feel that way, especially about you. I mean your like my brother and siblings don't date. You need to go. Before Xavier comes to check on me." she demanded. I looked at her in disbelief before nodding.

I got off of her bed and went to her window. I looked over my shoulder, "I love you, Liangela Maria Ginnle." I spoke her real name. She hated it but she only let me call her that. She frowned and laid down facing away from me. I growled at myself for what I've done. Now she'll never forgive me and I'm mateless. Oh fuck me.

I jumped down from her room and growled when she locked it. I shifted to my wolf form and stormed into the woods running as fast as wind, by passing every tree, growling at every animal as if it had done something wrong. I stopped running when I spotted a pair of black eyes staring at me. Alpha Xavier barked, "Why were you at her house!?"

"It's none of your damn business." I growled back as I kept running. I heard him growl as he kept running towards Maria's house. I didn't care though, I'm leaving.

Xavier's POV

I was on my way to check on Maria, I thought she would've snuck out again. I was only a few minutes away from her house when Jace came running with an angry face. I stopped and stared at his blue orbs as he stared back at me. "Why were you at her house!?" I hissed.

"It's none of your damn business," he growled and then took off running. As much as I wanted to tackle him for disrespecting his alpha, I had to check on my mate. I growled and kept running. I doubt Maria would let him touch her. I mean, she does love me right? Of course Xavier she is madly in love with you and she won't ever feel the way she feels about you to someone else, Jace isn't even her friend.

When I finally got to Maria's house, I could hear her singing along to some song. I shifted to my human form and went to get some jeans from the bag I keep in a tree. I easily pulled them on and climbed a tree that was near Maria's window. She didn't notice me until she looked up and fell. I laughed and she came to the window, unlocking it. I jumped inside and it was very warm. It smelled like water, old water. Rain, yes rain.

Maria sat on her bed and she put her ipod away. "So what's up?" she asked looking at the paper in her hands.

"I was on my way here to see if you snuck out, on my way I saw Jace and he was coming from your room. What the hell was he doing here Maria?" I crossed my arms over my chest.

"He just came to try to apologize, again. It was nothing." she said writing something on the paper. "If it was nothing you would look at me in my eyes and say it was nothing." I growled softly making her jump.

'Idiot' my wolf growled at me for scaring our mate. I had the urge to roll my eyes at him.

"I said it was nothing." she looked up at me. We had a stare down before I slowly nodded. At this time I wish her brother was here, he and I were best friends until I fell in love with the girl he loved. We both loved her but he dated her. She was the most prettiest girl in school, and then she just left, but she cane back. I was over her by then, Rickey wasn't though. He swore she was his mate but she wasn't. "Please stay here, I'm not in the best mood right now and I really need you." Maria sighed, looking at me with her pleading big brown eyes. I easily gave in and she moved over. I laid down in her very comfortable bed with her. She smirked as I wrapped my arms around her small body. "I think you should let people use your real name." I mumbled.
