"Well?" I say as I wait for him to tell me. "Sam! Dean! Get in here!" I yell to them. They run into my room. "What is it?" Sam asks as he looks at us. "I have knowledge on the key." Cas tells them. The each sit in a chair and Cas begins.
"There is a door to hell. The ultimate door. It can unlock not only hell, but purgatory also, and it's difficult to close. The difference between this door and normal doors, is that it's a girl. A young virgin. When she is 18 years of age, she can be unlocked." Cas tells us. I feel a knot in my stomach.
"How do you unlock it?" Sam asks. We all know. "She has to be sacrificed. I'm not sure how, if there is a specific weapon or spell that must be used, but I can find out." Cas says.
"Well how are we sure it's Jenna? Maybe another girl is a key." Dean says. "No, everyone says it's a child of John Winchester. As far as you know you have no other sister. Jenna, are you in fact a virgin?" Cas asks me.
I'm caught off guard by how blunt he is. I blush deeply because they are all looking at me. "Well.....yeah..." I answer awkwardly. I know I shouldn't be embarrassed. They're my brothers so I can tell them anything, well I can tell Sam anything, and Cas is an angel, he doesn't thing that kind of stuff is as taboo as humans do.
"So looks like it's Jenna." Sam says. "If she loses her virginity, then she can't be the key, right?" Dean suggests. Wow Dean, way to pimp me out. "No, no matter what she does, she can't. It's will be prevented no matter how she tries. I'm not sure who prevents it, but I will find out." Cas says, and with that he's gone.
"That's why dad didn't want Crowley to have you. You're the ultimate door to hell on earth." Sam says. "When's your birthday?" Dean asks. "December 30th." I say to him. I'm shaking now. I can't believe this is happening to me. "A year and a damn month. That's all we have to prepare for this. It's going to cause war and bloodshed." Dean says angrily. As if this is my fault, I didn't want this.
"Umm g-guys. Can I have a minute?" I ask them with a shaky voice. "Yeah sure ." Sam says. They both get up and leave my room. I walk over to a mirror and look into it. I punch the reflection. I hate myself. Everyone else on earth is going to be screwed because of me. I break down into tears and quiet screams.
Once I've collected myself I go into the library with Sam and Dean. "How are you feeling?" Sam asks. I just shrug. "Do you need anything?" Dean asks. I just look at him for about a minute. "Good answer." He says with annoyance as he goes into the kitchen. I'm not sure what these flickers of compassion and empathy are about, or why he keeps going back on them.
"You'll be alright Jen. We won't let them get you. You won't be the door to hell on out watch." Sam says. I hug him, I normally am not affectionate but I'm in a state of pure weakness.
"Sam I'm scared." I say to him. He hugs me back very tightly. "We're here Jenna. Dean, Cas and I will keep you safe." He re assures me. This little moment, with the big brother I never had, will forever mean so much to me. It's seem though, that my forever will be short.
Dean comes back in the room with a beer. "Look, all we have to do is figure out how to keep her from Crowley for the next year, and figure it out when she's 18." Dean says. I just now notice that he doesn't talk directly to me if he doesn't have to.
"That will be hard though, I'm not going to just sit here while you guys go out on hunts." I butt in. "Well Jenna, we can't bring you, you'll get hurt." Sam says. "Hell no, you two are taking me with you still. This changes nothing." I say.
"Hey, watch your mouth." Dean says to me. "Well considering I'm the damn door to hell, I'm allowed to say the word." I say before I go back to my room. I lay in my bed and manage to get an hour to sleep.
