Chapter 9

I walk up to Grayson and whispered to him "look it's not what it looked like out there". He still looked angry. "Look just save it, I always had a feeling that you liked that kid. Just go be with him, he is what you want, right" he said clearly he was upset.

"Grays-" I was cut off by the teacher. "Rae please take your seat, class is about to start" I turn and looked at the teacher. "Yes sir"I said and took my seat.

I would look back at Grayson here and there but he didn't bother to even look at me. Shit I forgot to tell him that Ethan has practice after school.

I wrote down on a piece of paper and threw it towards him. It lands on his desk. he looked at the paper and looked at me and just nodded and ignored me the rest of the time.

The bell rang and Grayson quickly packed his stuff and left without telling me anything. I pack up my stuff and quickly catch up to Grayson.

"Grayson, I don't like a-" I was cut off by Asher. "There's my girl" he said as he wrapped his arm around me while smirking at Grayson.

"Your girl?" Grayson asked. He clenched his jaw, oh god he's really mad now.

"Yes, oh wait Rae didn't tell you that we're together?" Asher said, and he was still smirking.

Grayson was upset and just walked away. "What the fuck is your problem, I don't fucking like you, I like Grayson" I said as I push him.

"Well what if I told you that I like you" Asher said as he gently grabbed my wrist making me stop pushing him.

"Really? Now that I find someone that actually cares for me, you decide to pop back in and try to ruin everything for me" I said.

"Well no" he said.

"Then why are you doing this" I asked.

"I'm telling you the truth I actually like you and I don't want you to end up with Grayson" he said.

"Fuck you don't ever talk to me" I said walking away. I head to my 2 period and scan the room hoping to see Grayson. But he wasn't there. I sat down and just hoped he would come in. But he didn't.

As the day went on Grayson didn't show up to any of the classes.

I left my 7th period and head to the parking lot and search for Grayson's car. But he had already left.

I pull out my phone and text Grayson. I was really worried.

I called him and he declined all my calls.

I gave up and just called my mom to pick me up.

My mom arrived 20 minutes later. "Sorry I'm late had to beg Adam for the keys" she said a bit shaky.

"Hey don't worry"I said with tears in my eyes.

"Hey don't cry baby" my mom said as she brought me in for a hug. I finally decided to let out my emotions that I've been holding. I cried on her shoulder and she rubbed my back saying it was going to be okay. But is it really.

She released me from the hug and look at me in my eyes. "Are you gonna tell me what's wrong" she said. "Well I met this boy, Grayson, I really like him. Grayson treats me with respect and I feel like he likes me back. Well I think he doesn't anymore, thanks to Asher" I muttered the Asher part as I rolled my eyes. "He kissed me in front
of Grayson. Ever since then Grayson has been ignoring"

"I can tell Grayson likes you, remember the day you sneaked out?" she asked. I then look at her in shock. How did she know?

"Don't worry I didn't tell Adam, anyway the day you sneaked out I saw you two kiss, I was furious I was about to give that boy a piece of my mind" she paused and stared out the window and then looked back at me and continued. "But then he pulled away, and looked at you" she said. I looked up at her curious on what she was going to say. she had tears running down her face. She sighed and continued, "He looked at you the way your father looked at me in high school" she said as she wiped her tears. "That boy doesn't like you, he loves you"
