Lele's POV
I forcefully stood and hugged the long haired girl, who was breathing heaving from the tight squeeze. "It's so nice to see you again, we just got here from your performance!" She said. I glanced behind her at the boys chatting to each other. "I had them come with me," She explained. "Oh, wait, it's that band..." I said, remembering from Jimmy Johns.
"Why Don't We," She finished for me. "Jack, Corbyn, Jonah, Daniel, and Zach." The guys looked over, hearing their names, and Aspen waved them over. "Guys, meet Lele," she said, and I shook every one of their hands. They introduced themselves, and we grabbed a big booth for all of us. "So Lele..." the little one, I think Zach, said.
"NUMBER 24!" The worker yelled and left a tray of food at the front. "Sorry, I'll be right back!" I said and exited the booth. "Thank you!" I told the man who served the food, and took the tray back to the booth. I took the empty cup and filled it up with Coke at the soda station. When I came back, the boys were chatting it up, and Aspen was eating one of my fries.
Not okay.
But I didn't say anything, I just sat again and smiled at the boys looking at me. "Anyhoo, before the interruption, I wanted to ask if you were single." Corbyn spit out the soda he was drinking. "You can't ask that!" He said and smacked him in the back of the head. "Owch!" Zach said and covered the spot of pain.
"Um, wow," I said and laughed. "Number one, no, and number two, I'm like five years older then you." I told him, and his face turned a scarlet color. "He needs a girlfriend because his ex is chasing after him." Jonah said. "Who's his ex?"
Zach looked down, his face not cooling by one bit and mumbled something. "Hey idiot, she can't hear ya." Jack said. "Veronica Balanger, do you know her?" Zach asked quietly. I put my hands on my forehead and nodded. "Yes, I know her, and she sucks." I said, and he shrugged. "I figured that out."

"So, how has it been?" I asked.
for those who want to remember what happened, read the italic, if you rennet, skip over it! thank u
My stomach growled. Man, I was hungry.
I got off the bench and looked up at the signs above my head. Ooh, Fuljenzi's. I started walking to the door when I saw the closed sign.
My stomach rumbled again. Ugh.
I kept walking down the street. Signs popped up from all over the place, but all of the restaurants I favored were closed. Then, the majestical JIMMY JOHNS popped up.
And guess what? I was inside ordering two footlongs just in a few seconds. I definitely received a lot of stares while walking to a table. Hey, I wasn't the only one ordering a lifetime supply of food.
There was a girl with long brown hair ordering more sandwiches than me. She looked familiar.
Oh yeah, she was Logan's friends' friend. Sounds confusing, right? Her name was Aspen. I think... she was dating Jack, the band member of Why Don't We? I saw her kissing him at an anniversary party for them (reference to the story, "Love Comes //Jack Avery" by jjzdcwdw first and second book series).
She payed and took her sandwiches, turning around and taking a seat three tables away from me. I figuratively shoved the two sandwiches down my throat and went over to her. Sitting in a chair across from her, I introduced myself.
"Oh my gosh, Lele? I saw you at the party and on vine." she gushed. "Vine's dead." I said with a laugh. "Aspen... right?"
"Yep."
"You're Jack Avery's girlfriend, correct?"
She gazed off to the side for a second, catching herself and smiling back at me. "Actually, yes I am."
The minute was casual, but she suddenly looked at me with a suspicious face. "Do you know Ellie?"
"Ellie?" I asked her with a sideways look.
"Nevermind," She said, smiling again.
the end
Jack shrugged. "It's okay, I'm still pretty confused with things?" He looked weirded out, and Aspen went wide eyed. "Why do you ask?" I raised an eyebrow and rested the side of my face on my fist. "Aspen told me that you two got eventually got back together again..." I questioned.
Aspen covered her face, and Jack glared at her. "No! Why did you lie?" He asked, and I felt horrible. I put one foot out from under the table for a quicker escape. "No, I am dating Ellie," He said, and crossed his arms. I pulled out my phone, went to settings, sounds and haptics, and pressed the button that played a texting noise. I looked at, and said "Sorry guys, emergency at home," I said and stood up. "I haven't really touched any food, so you guys can have it."
Zach started digging in, Jack and Aspen started quietly arguing, and I left. I wasn't looking where I was going, and ran into someone in the doorway. "Gosh, I'm so sorry, I—" The girl cut me off. "Omg, Lele?" I looked at her. It was Ellie, I met her at the party. "Hi!" I said and got up. We hugged, and she asked me if the boys were there. I pulled her outside.
"Don't go in there." I said. "Why?" "Aspen lies to me, and told me she and Jack that we were dating, so it's really bad at the booth they're sitting in." I told her, and she looked at her feet. "What should I do?" She asked. "They're expecting me."
"Text one of the boys and tell them that you have a stomachache or something," I said and patted her shoulder. "Thanks," she said and started walking away. "Wait!" I called. She stopped and turned around. "Take my number."
