Chapter 23

After Finn's parents left the next day, Bayley smiled at him and said, "Are you ready to meet my family?"

He smiled. "Yeah of course. When?"

"Christmas Eve," she said. "Every year the family goes to their house to open presents and play games. Well, after the presents the kids get bored and play with them while the adults play games. So, you're gonna get to meet my whole family instead of just my parents."

Finn was apprehensive. He was ready to meet her family, but he wondered what they would think of him.

Bayley saw the look on his face. "Oh Finn, don't worry. My family is going to love you. Even my nieces and nephews. They've been wanting me to get a boyfriend for years. It'll be a great Christmas present for them."

"Did you not get them anything? Christmas Eve is in five days."

"No, I got them nothing. That's why you are going to be their present."

Finn smiled. "Alright then. By the way, where do your parents live?"

"Right across town," Bayley said. "My family is really close. All my relatives have lived in this town."

Finn nodded. "Okay. Do you need to warn me about anyone?"

Bayley thought for a moment, and then said, "You only need to worry about Aunt Trish. She always criticizes my boyfriends, and none of them have had good criticism."

"Do you think mine will be good?" Finn asked, worried. Bayley kissed his cheek and said, "Don't worry, she'll love you. Besides, my last boyfriend was when I was in 9th grade."

He breathed a sigh of relief.

"I cannot wait to meet your family Bay," he said, kissing her on the forehead.
