Chapter 24

Christmas Eve came all too quick for Finn. He was very nervous during the car ride to Bayley's parents' place.

"Don't worry, you'll be just fine," she told him. He smiled slightly as they pulled in the driveway.

Bayley rang the doorbell and Bayley's older brother, Sami, answered it. He gave Bayley a hug and pointed at Finn.

"Who's this? Is this Finn?" Sami asked his little sister. "Uh, yes, it's my boyfriend. Now, will you let us in?" Bayley asked. Her brother nodded and let the couple inside.

As they walked inside, Sami's fourteen year-old girl, Abby, exclaimed, "Look! It's Aunt Bayley!"

Bayley's mom and dad walked into the living room to give their child a hug.

"Uh, I have an announcement," Bayley told everyone. They all sat down on the couch.

"This is my boyfriend, Finn."

Abby stood up and clapped. "Finally! It's about time Aunt Bayley!"

Bayley looked at Finn and said, "See? What did I tell you?"

Before he could speak a word, the family had taken him to question him about things. He looked at Bayley, who mouthed, "Sorry," before going to play with Sami's five year-old son, Dylan.

"So, how long have you been seeing my sister-in-law?" Becky, Sami's wife, asked.

"Since late August," he replied.

"I've heard that Bayley's been kidnapped a few times by your ex," her dad told him. He nodded.

"Yes, sir."

"And you saved her?"

"Yes sir."

Then his mother began to ask, "How did you two meet?"

He smiled before saying, "It was in the middle of August. I was out for my evening jog around town when I accidentally bumped into her. We chatted for a while and she gave me her number. I called her, we went on a date and the rest is history."

The family awed at him, until Bayley's Aunt Trish asked, "Do you see a future with my daughter?"

Finn smiled and nodded. "Absolutely, Mrs. Stratus. Your niece is one of the most special women I have ever met, and I see myself getting married to her and even having a few kids."

Aunt Trish smiled. "Thank you. I've been waiting for ages for Bayley to get a good boyfriend. You are the perfect one for my niece."

Finn smiled and Bayley walked back into the room carrying little Dylan.

"Finn? Why are you so happy?" she asked him.

"I passed your aunt's 'Boyfriend Test'."

Bayley smiled. "Really?" she asked.

"Yup," she heard Aunt Trish say.

Bayley put Dylan down and kissed Finn. It was their first kiss as a couple, and it made everyone in the house cheer, except Dylan, who looked away and gagged. But that's what children do.

Then the family proceeded to hand out presents. Since they were informed that Finn was coming, they got some presents for him, too. He got Legos, which he was happy about, and a new watch.

After they opened the presents, they played a few games, which Finn won a lot.

After the games, it was time to go. Bayley hugged her family goodbye and Finn waved.

The couple got to Bayley's place. "See? Told you they would like you."

Finn shook his head, chuckled, and they two proceeded to watch holiday movies before they fell asleep.
