Raman still had to work on the laptop, so he went into the room.. As he stared at the laptop, he thought of his marriage in the beginning.

~ February 13,th 2005 ~
Today was the wedding of Raman Kumar Bhalla and Ishita Iyer.
Ishita and her family came to Delhi 3 weeks ago..Everything prepared very quickly for the wedding. IshRa barely had time to talk. Ishita was very nice from the start with Ruhi and Adi and by that, Raman recognized the good heart of Ishita.
Raman knew about the terrible thing that happened to Ishita. That was a marriage of convenience. Raman would help Ishita and give her child his name and Ishita would become the mother of Ruhi and Adi. His children needed a mother and Ishita's child a father.
Raman and Ishita had seen each other a couple of times when they were both children. The last time they saw each other, Raman was 13 years old and Ishita 9 years old.
And today both sat in mandap. Priest asked Raman and Ishita to do some puja's, then Simmi did the ghat-bhandan to them and Priest asked Raman and Ishita to stand for saat phera.
After taking saat phera Raman and Ishita sat back. Then Raman tied the Thali- Chain around Ishita's neck gently. Then he took a pinch of sindoor and placed it in her maang.
Ishita looked with her teary eyes and the crowd started throwing flowers on them and Family hugged them together. "Now you are husband wife." The priest declared. Raman Ishita took blessings from the elders....

Everything was new to Ishita, she became a wife and mother from one to the other second. The entire Bhalla family warmly welcomed her into the family.
Raman was very kind to her. He left her the bed and slept on the couch. Adi and Ruhi were adorable. They immediately accepted Ishita as mother and Ruhi gave her the name IshiMaa.
At the beginning of her marriage, it was very difficult for Raman to get into conversation with Ishita. She was still very affected from her rape. She does not trust any man, not even him. She had Adi or Rudi sleeping in bed with her every night so she would not be alone with Raman in the room.
Ishita was afraid of the dark and had regular Nightmares. She collapsed with crying fits. Raman wanted to help her, but she did not leave him near her. He was not allowed to hug her and comfort her.
After a few weeks, Raman decided it would be better for Ishita to have a therapy with a psychologist. It definitely had to be a woman, Ishita would not stay in a room with a man and tell her story.
Raman found a good doctor and brought Ishita to her. Ishita had first denied it, but Raman convinced her that it was best for her.
One night Raman came home late from the office. He had a lot of work and it took time.Ishita was sitting in the kitchen drinking tea.
