He walked nervously up and down the room and ran his hand through his hair. Subu felt he was losing control of his life. His wife believed that he had raped Ishita.

"Did you do it"? Lakshmi interrupted his thoughts

Subu looked at her puzzled ......"What"?

Lakshmi crossed her arms over her chest......" I asked you if you did, did you rape Ishita"?

Subu stared at his wife without saying anything

"Subu!!!"

"WHAT???"

"I'll ask you again ...... "Did you rape Ishita, yes or no?"

Subu and Lakshmi faced each other in the middle of the room.

"YES OR NO"???

"Are you seriously asking me if I'm a rapist"?

"Are you one?"

"WHAT"??!!!

"I asked you if you are a rapist, Subu?

Subu drank another glass of whiskey on the rocks. The brown liquid ran down his throat and he closed his eyes for a moment.

He drank a third glass and Lakshmi watched as he drank the alcohol......"What are you doing, you get drunk?"

Subu looked at her with the glass in hand ...... "Yes, I'll get drunk now,because my beloved wife believes, that i am a rapidt and I no longer want to explain myself. You do not believe me anyway" He lifted the glass and toasted her, then drank his fourth glass and slowly the alcohol began to work.
