"Marge Talors?"
The nurse called from the lobby door.
"I'm here!"
"Dr. Green is ready for you!"
Marge took a deep breath and let it out slowly as she walked into the ultrasound room. Jason held her purse and she rested in the chair kicked back waiting for Dr. Green to finish up with another couple. She didn't know what to expect so she couldn't properly prepare herself for the news she was getting ready to receive.
The minutes ticked by like hours while they sat without speaking in that tiny room. Marge's mind struggled to stay clear and calm.
"Mr. and Mrs. Talors, how are we today? I apologize for the wait."
Dr. Green said entering the room.
"Its ok."
Jason said politely.
"Ok, lets get down to business shall we? I reviewed the previous pictures and I do believe I know what is going on in there, I also think you two would rather see it than hear about it which is why I asked you back!"
He reached over and turned the big monitor on so Marge and Jason could get a better look.
"Take a look and tell me what you see."
"Our baby has two heads."
Jason said, Marge's mouth dropped open unable to speak.
"Babies! You are having twins!"
"I'm sorry, I think I need to clean my ears out, what did you just say?"
Jason asked.
"Would you like to know the sex?"
"It's a boy, we know."
"One of them yes, the other one however, the little one that has been hiding from us is a girl. Can you see her?"
Marge's eyes filled with tears as she starred blankly at the screen.
"I hope that is a sign of joy Mrs. Talors, you aren't saying anything."
"I'm ..... I'm .....they..... So there is nothing wrong? I'm having two babies! So what did you see in the other pictures?"
"An extra arm."
"So they are ok?"
"Yes ma'am!"
Later that afternoon Marge and Jason sat on the couch in the living room talking to their babies. Justin was upstairs listening to the sweet words they spoke. He was wondering why they didn't talk to him that way, why was he so different? The hate for his parents grew stronger, he swore to himself that as soon as he was able, he would leave.
He couldn't control the anger building up inside of him as he continued to listen to the love Marge and Jason were sharing with the baby, he was jealous, all he ever wanted was for his parents to love him.
The dinner plate Jason brought up to him the night before was still on the floor in his room, he picked it up and threw it as hard as he could, he stood quietly watching it shatter against the wall and waited. It startled Marge and Jason taking their attention from her stomach.
"Go check on that little shit and find out what he is doing."
Jason ran upstairs and kicked Justin's door open.
"What the hell was that?"
Justin still stood quietly in the middle of his room as Jason looked at the shattered plate on the floor.
"Why did you do that Justin?"
He didn't answer.
Jason bent down and began picking up the large pieces, Justin watched patiently waiting for Jason to get within reach. There was a big piece sitting between his feet that he placed there as bait.
Jason collected all the big pieces starting from the door inching his way into the room then got closer and reached for the piece at Justin's feet.
BAM!!!
Justin slammed a piece he had hidden behind his back into Jason's neck and twisted. Jason let out a groan as blood leaked like a fountain out of the puncture wound and fell. Justin kicked him in the face as hard as he could breaking his nose for extra pleasure and ran.
