JT’s obsession with Kim’s friend, Jessie, grew so intense that he insisted on being at Justin’s house every time she was there, and he would make sure he was there the entire time she was. If she was only there for a few hours, he was only there for a few hours, if she was there overnight, so was he, and so on, and so on. He made it quite clear to her that he wanted her, he sat next to her at the table, on the couch, or on the porch swing out front. She would smile at him and graze his leg pretending it was accidental, “Oops, I’m sorry!”, she would say batter her eyes and shinning her innocent smile at him in a childish way.
Justin and Kim watched their love for blossom into something extraordinary, before they knew it JT and Jessie found a place, moved in together, and were soon engaged after only three months of dating. “How in the hell did you commit so fast? I have been with Kim for seven years and still can’t do it.” Was Justin’s only response to the news when he found out. JT’s answer was simple, “The feeling is there man! When it’s right you will know!” Justin sat and thought for a moment t before speaking. He thought about his relationship with Kim, even though long, great, and they got along perfectly, it seemed to lack something, was it commitment? “So, what does that say about me and Kim?” he finally asked. “I don’t know, I’m no love expert!” JT laughed. “Personally, I think you are afraid of commitment or love itself, given your history, and if that is the case, you are the only one who can fix that.” He continued.
With that Justin began his process of figuring it out whatever it was, it had to be him. Kim has hinted around to wanting marriage, but Justin acted as if he didn’t notice even though he got the hint, on several occasions. They would go to the mall almost every weekend and let Haley ride the carousel a few times and Kim would always pull Justin over to the jewelry stands and point out her favorites, then wink at him signaling him to get it for her. He would buy a few here and there but never the right size for her ring finger so she couldn’t even so much as pretend to be engaged or married to him. For Justin, marriage was just not something he wanted, he viewed it as just an expensive break up. He was and always has been a loner, he enjoyed being alone, even though he has never really been alone, other than a few days at a time.
JT and Jessie’s wedding came quickly, Justin of course, was the best man and Kim was the maid of honor. Jessie had many close friends like, Megan Hicks, Tiffany Hadder, and Brittany Stints, that were much closer and much more qualified than Kim, and yes they were her bride’s maids, but it only made since to place the one that introduced her to the love of her life at the head of the line at the wedding.
It was a beautiful wedding, one that JT’s mother deemed fit with instructions from Jessie. Jessie wasn’t very good at these things and neither was her mother, (which had never been married and was currently single), so Jessie asked May if she would design it for her, she explained to the best of her abilities what she imagined in her head, and May put it all together. When Jessie walked into the room for the rehearsal, she couldn’t believe the elegance of it all. It was better than she had imagined in her mind. The colors she picked were white, turquoise, and purple. The tables in the reception hall were lined with purple linin, chrome plate, and turquoise napkins folded neatly on the plates, (almost resembling newspaper hat shapes), and white carnations in a crystal vase on each table. Carnations were Jessie’s favorite flowers so of course it had to be them in stead of roses. The chairs were draped in white linin with turquoise mesh tied into a neat bow in the back. The cake was a chocolate praline crunch cake dressed in white fondant, decorated with turquoise carnation-like tribal going up the front side with a single purple carnation resting on the bottom tier of the three-tiered cake. The bride’s maids wore purple long length dresses, with heart shaped tops and a diamond encrusted waist bands that sat just below the breast line, while Kim wore the same exact dress except hers was turquoise. Jessie wore an elegant, luxurious mermaid wedding dress with lace sleeves that had silver shimmers around the shoulders and wrists, heart shaped top with silver shimmers just around the breasts and silver shimmers from the waist down in the most beautiful pattern any of them had ever seen on a wedding dress.
Watching Jessie walk down the isle towards him brought tears to JT’s eyes, at that moment he felt pure bliss and fell even more in love with his beautiful bride, he didn’t think he could love her anymore than he already did until that very moment she appeared before him in her dress. After the wedding they partied for hours celebrating the new life they would share together, a new step in their life, and the biggest memory they would share as a couple to cherish forever.
