Author's Note: So my girlfriend found my fan fiction, that's sorta embarrassing. So she's probably reading this right now. I don't know why I decided to tell you all this. But yeah. Don't embarrass me alright? Haha, anyway, back to the story you all have been patiently waiting for.
"You're in love with me too?" She asked.
"Last I checked, yes."
"Wow, that's.."
"Crazy? I know."
She gave me a bewildered look, "This isn't a prank or anything right? I feel like this is a prank. This is a prank."
"Um, it's not a prank Annabeth, I really do love you." I sat down on one of the nearby bunks. "Isn't that crazy." I whispered to myself as I stared off into the distance.
Annabeth must have heard me because she sat down next to me and said, "It is crazy, so crazy I can't even believe it. This is a dream. It's definitely a dream. I'll wake up any second now wishing it wasn't a dream. Even though it was. It is. Please tell me this isn't a dream."
"This isn't a prank or a dream or a hallucination or anything. It's 100% real. Why do you have such a hard time believing it?"
She sighed, "Because why would the prettiest demigod of all demigods like me? A nerd. A bookworm. Call me what you want. No one is supposed to like me. I'm not anything special. The only person who has liked me was Seaweed Brain. And he's...Seaweed Brain." With a pause she said, "Do you get what I'm saying?"
"I do get what you're saying. But seriously? I think I should be the one saying that. I'm a daughter of Aphrodite, I should be pretty and into makeup and clothes and fashion and whatnot, but I'm not into any of that. It doesn't make me anything special, does it?"
"It does. You stand out. In a good way. It makes you different, and that's what I like about you. Not only do you look amazing without makeup, you also have a great personality."
I smiled. "You really think so?"
"Yes." She stood up and pulled me off the bed and then proceeded to give me a bone crushing hug. "I should go. I'll see you tomorrow, hopefully?"
I let go of her and grinned. "Yeah, you will see me tomorrow."
"Great." And she walked off, out of my cabin, leaving me there as flustered as I could possibly be.
-----------
The next morning I was just sitting there on my bed, replaying what Annabeth had told me over and over. I thought of how familiar she seemed to me. How all the gods apparently shipped us together. It was like some elaborate plan was made for us to be together. "Nah." I chuckled at the crazy thought.
Drew walked by glancing over at me for merely a second, before turning back around and walking over to my bunk. "What happened?"
"What do you mean 'What happened?'?"
"Something happened, I can see it in your eyes. You're way too happy. So..what happened?"
I leaned in close to Drew and whispered, "I can't tell you now, not here. And since you're all so invested in my love life, maybe we should invite Lacy and Aphrodite to hear it."
She nodded. "Okay. Fine."
So later at lunch, as I was trying to eat, I was pulled from the table onto my feet by Drew. She, and Lacy by her side, dragged me all the way to the woods where we would meet Aphrodite.
I could see all of them were eager to hear the news, and boy was I eager to tell them. I was grinning from ear to ear, my mood brightened up the room. "Okay okay, so," I took a deep breath. "Annabeth likes me too."
Lacy squealed, Drew smiled, and Aphrodite put her hands over her heart.
"Congrats Piper, I can't believe all our hard work paid off." Drew said.
"Well, I'm sure Annabeth liked me before you started stalking her trying to figure out if she liked me, or girls even, and even then that wouldn't have made her like me. But thanks for the help anyway."
Lacy giggled and wrapped me in a hug, "Piper I'm so happy for you to have a girlfriend! This is gonna be so much fun, you'll definitely have to tell me all about what you guys do. Tell me about your first kiss and first date and all that."
"I will. And technically she's not my girlfriend yet." I turned to Aphrodite, "Well, Mom, I guess I won't need your help anymore, so why don't you scamper off to Hephaestus or Ares or whoever you're having an affair with. Because honestly, for the goddess of love, you aren't that good with your own love life."
"Piper, I'm not going to leave, because you need me if you want to have a healthy relationship with Annabeth."
"I'm sure I can handle it on my own. How hard can it be? We love each other, we just follow our hearts."
"It's more than that, it's all about the romance, the gifts and the way you show your affection for each other."
"Mhmm, yeah." I started to walk away. Drew and Lacy had already walked off once we started arguing.
"I'm only trying to help. Love isn't easy."
"I'll ring you if I need advice, but for now I think I'm good." I hollered.
----------
Annabeth and I were hanging out in my cabin. We weren't talking, we were being quite awkward actually. She was sitting on my bed and I was spinning around in a chair. I had to break the silence. "Gods, why are we so awkward all of a sudden? We could talk so easily and now we can barely look at each other.
Annabeth got up off the bed and pulled me up from my chair, pulling me into a hug. She got close to my ear and I could hear her breathing, which sent shivers down my spine. "Well Pipes, I think it's just nerves. Though you have nothing to be nervous about."
I jumped back, "Ahh yes I do. I'm nervous right now, obviously. You can't just do stuff like hug me and whisper into my ear and expect me not to be nervous."
She smiled a mischievous smile. "The worst is yet to come."
I fell back into my chair and leaned my head back. My heart was beating so fast I felt it would explode. Annabeth laughed. "I think you need a break from me," she headed toward the door, "Meet me at our spot at 8?"
I gave her a thumbs up.
"Well alright." And she walked out.
Drew walked out from the bathroom. "Oh you're still here?" I asked. "Didn't you go in there to do your makeup like..two hours ago."
She sighed. "To be as beautiful as me takes lots of time and effort, but you wouldn't know that would you now Piper?" She poked my nose. "What happened to your little girlfriend?"
"She's not my girlfriend yet."
"Well shouldn't you make that happen?"
"I will, I will." Maybe tonight, I thought.

Someone said "UPDATE HOE" and honestly, that motivated me.
