{Edward Midford x Reader} An Old Childhood Friend

     This was a request from _Japan-Chan_! Omg guys thank you soooo much for all these reads! I'm literally smiling so much my face can't take it anymore! I hope you enjoy! Also, in case you didn't know. Edward Midford is Elizabeth's older brother ^-^! Thank you for reading!

     Your parents had sent you on a ship voyage to London. You started packing your clothes happily. You had a friend you hadn't visited in a while. Edward Midford. You were both childhood friends and you had heard he was traveling back to London the same time as you.

"Y/n honey, are you sure you'll be alright?" your mother approached you and hugged you in a tight embrace.

"Yes mother. I will be fine!" you reassured her. She gave you a kiss on the forehead and called a servant to pick up your luggage.

"I can't believe this day actually came. Our daughter has grown up so much!" your father smiled at you. He gave you a kiss on the head as you both hugged each other.

"Dad I'll be back soon! Don't worry about me!" you pulled away from the hug and made your way to the entrance. Your servant Bill followed after you.

"I'll see you in a month!" you waved at your parents. They both waved back as the gates closed. You turned around and walked  up to the carriage. Bill opened the door for you, and you gladly walked in thanking him. He smiled and climbed up to ride you to your destiny.

     The road was a little long and boring, but you waited. You stared out the window and waved at some citizens once in a while. 

"Miss Y/n. It appears we have arrived!" Bill jumped off and opened the door for you. You walked out and gazed at the view in front of you. The ship was huge and it was crowded full of citizens. Some of them were walking off and some on. 

Bill took your luggage and gestured you to follow him. You did so, and now you were both standing in front of the ship. 

"Lady Y/n please have a safe t-" Bill was cut off by someone calling your name.

"Y/N! Y/N OVER HERE!" you turn to where the voice was coming from and see Edward running to you. Your smile grew wide as you ran up to him. You jumped on Edward and embraced him. He returned the embrace and spun you around.

"Y/n I missed you so much!" you looked up at him and smiled more.

"I missed you too Edward!" he hugged you tighter as Bill cleared his throat.

"Lady Y/n the ship will be leaving soon." he smiled as the luggage was already being taken in your room. (The ship is probably as big as the Titanic so it has rooms and all.) You let go of Edward and he started speaking,

"You're traveling to London?" you nod your head and take his hand.

"Come on let's go!" you started running like a little girl chasing a butterfly. Feeling an unusual warmth in your palm.

     The ship was ready to sail. You started waving at Bill as he did the same. You turned your head to look back at Edward. His blonde hair waving in the air and his green eyes sparkling from the ocean's reflection. You started blushing and remembered one of your favorite childhood memories.

~Flashback~

"Y/n! Look at all these flowers!" Edward giggled as he ran towards the meadow full of flowers. You followed after him and took a sit in the soft grass. Edward turned his gaze on you and  kneeled in front of you. He then placed a flower crown on your head, which caused a small blush to form on your face.

"Y/n... all these flowers are nothing compared to your beauty!" you blushed more and giggled at his complement.

"Thank you Edward. That is very kind of you!" you kissed his cheek and saw his face turn pink too.

"Y/n..." Edward held both of your hands in his. You sit up so you were kneeling too. "I-I think I love you." his face a bright pink just like yours. You smiled and whispered in his ear, "Edward... I think I love you too."

~End Of Flashback~

     Since that day, you two had promised each other that when you grow older, you'll get married. But eventually you started thinking he had forgotten about it. You stared at the beautiful, dark blue ocean. Your hair swaying back and forth. 

"Y-Yn..." you turn around and see Edward looking at you. He took your hands in his just like when you were little. Your face turned a bright red, and your e/c eyes wouldn't leave his green ones. "D-do you remember what I said when we were little?" you cheerfully nod your head. "W-well... I still love you. You're a beautiful girl Y/n and... I-I still want to m-marry you...." Edward looked down hiding his red face.

"Edward... I love you too, and I still want to get married." your blush was covering your entire face as Edward looked up. His face was softer then ever. You smiled at him and he smiled back. 

"T-Then... would you still want to get married if I proposed to you when we get back in London?" you giggled and kissed his nose.

"Of course. Why would I change my mind?" Edward cupped your cheeks and pulled you in for a soft kiss. You kissed him back and wrapped your arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. You both shared a passionate kiss and pulled away once in a while for short breaths. The moment was perfect, and nothing could ruin it... except for maybe the clumsy waitress that was making her way towards you.
