Chapter Seven
Goddammit Vladimir
The lock clicked as opened our apartment door. It swung easily on the new hinges (courtesy of Mike of course). Carla sighed happily as we walked inside.
"Ah, you gotta love that new door feel." She said, letting her backpack fall to the ground unceremoniously. Books slipped onto the ground but she simply stepped over them on her way to the fridge.
"So why don't you check on our buddies then we can head over to the club room?' She suggested, ripping a Gogurt open with her teeth. I flashed her a thumbs up and headed towards the storage room.
The familiar theme song of Magi: Magic Of The Labyrinth* floated through the door. That's what I get for giving Japan free reign of my Netflix, he finds the anime on my list.
I rapped my knuckle against the door, calling out who I was before twisting the knob and heading into the room. Ludwig and Kiku were huddled beneath scraps of blankets from the previous night, sitting in front of my computer with another doll. A familiar curl stuck out from the side of his head, pointing the opposite direction of his brother's.
"Hey guys," I said. The other Italy jumped up excitedly as I walked towards their perch.
"Are you the lady who's taking care of us?" he asked.
Oh my god, he is literally the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I nodded with a smile which he returned.
"You're very pretty! I'm Italy, but you can call me Feliciano! OH, or Feli!"
I laughed at his compliment, not able to take it seriously while he's a talking doll. Wait, since he's the other part of Italy... My mind flashed to Lovino's reaction when he saw his brother as a doll, it was the most vulnerable I'd seen him since he's been awake.
"It's nice to meet you, Feli. I think I have someone else you'd like to see though." I said, carefully lowering the backpack from my shoulder and unzipping the pocket. Lovino frowned up at me from the bag, tapping his foot impatiently.
"What the hell was all that jostling for! If I knew you were going to fling us around like a Pinata, I would've stayed with the dumbass German!" He shouted, his anger not seeming to be reciprocated by the others in the bag.
A tick mark popped on Ludwig's forehead as he strained to stay focused on the anime with Kiku. Arthur rolled his eyes and pushed Lovino into a sitting position.
"Oh shut it, I've heard you complain for long enough." He gave me an apologetic smile, "It was fine in here."
"It's all good Arthur, I wouldn't have let Lovino stay here even if he demanded I do so." I said, noticing how Feliciano perked up at the name of his twin.
"Hey, Lovino, get out here for a second. There's someone who wants to see you." I said, reaching my hand into the bag for him to come out. Lovino stared at my hand for a minute, huffing and moving to stand on my palm.
"I swear to god, if there's a spanish asshole standing in here, I will personally kick-" The threat was cut short as I lifted Lovino out of the bag and set him down next to Feli. The two halves of Italy stood across from each other, staring with matching expressions of awe before Feliciano rushed forward and wrapped his brother in a hug.
"Romano!" He shouted among rapid Italian. Lovino struggled in the hug, responding with a slight more aggressive Italian as he pried Feli's arms off of him. The northern half didn't seem bothered by this though as he continued to happily speak to his brother, pointing up to me. Lovino snapped at him with a red face, making me wondering what exactly they were talking about.
