Sabina's POV- March 2018
Lucy looked up from her laptop as a light buzz was heard. Stevie stood up and clapped her hands together.
"Looks like the Chinese food is here"
As she left, Lucy looked at me.
"What was that noise?"
That was the intercom.
"The people who used to live here before my dad decided to use it as a place to crash when he didn't want to make the drive home broke the intercom. Most people assume it's a doorbell, so when they press the button the intercom buzzes throughout the house" I explained.
Dad never got around to fixing it because he really wasn't home during the day, so he found no use for it. On the other hand, I did have people over and it was starting to get annoying.
"I hope your dad kept their deposit"
"He did" I confirmed.
We both looked away as the front door swung open.
"Sabs, how much food did you get?"
Stevie set a cardboard box stocked with Chinese takeout on the coffee table.
"Enough" I answered.
Her phone chimed.
"That must be the wings"
"You always order wings," I noticed.
"Have you tried the wings down the street?"
"No" I answered.
"Well you're going to try these wings because they are perfection"
And just like that, she left once more.
"Either the delivery person is a total babe or the wings are in fact really good"
Lucy laughed as I climbed up on the couch, and propped myself up a bit to peek out the window.
"Well I can't see his face, but he drives a motorcycle" I noted.
There was a motorcycle on the driveway of my place.
"That's hot"
Oh, there he was.
"He's handsome" I told her.
She set her laptop on the coffee table, and joined me.
"You're right"
We hopped off the couch, and took a seat.
"So, Sabs"
"Yes?" I questioned.
"How does Stevie know Alex?"
I looked at her.
"Adrian didn't tell you?" I asked.
"What would he tell me?"
It was no secret.
"They were friends with benefits" I informed her.
"He did not tell me, but how did that happen?"
"What do you mean?" I wondered.
We both turned as the door swung open.
"I mean, don't get me wrong Alex is a nice and semi-attractive guy but Stevie is a total babe"
I laughed.
"I heard my name"
Stevie reached for the remote and turned on the TV. Through the MLB app, she loaded the current Dodger game that had just started.
