Sabina's POV- December 2018

Adrian raised an eyebrow as I placed one half of my sandwich on his plate.

"It's got no meat"

"You're going to like it" I assured him.

He was a pretty picky eater, but I always pushed him out of his comfort zone. Because of this, he had now tried a large variety of different foods. I was pretty darn proud to state that he always like the food I made him try.

"What's in it?"

"Mozzarella cheese, marinated red bell peppers, pesto, purple cabbage, and some greens" I listed off.

I had ordered a Caprese sandwich and had ordered Adrian a turkey avocado sandwich.

"Try it" I stated.

"Ladies first"

I rolled my eyes and took a bite of my half of the sandwich.

"If I don't like it, I will give it back to you"

I laughed.

"Okay," I replied.

He slowly took a bite of the sandwich and hummed.

"It's good"

No, it was delicious.

"Do you want your other half of the sandwich back?" I wondered.

"No"

I smiled and watched he took another bite.

"This is amazing"

"I'm glad you liked it" I admitted.

"Why haven't we came here before?"

"I've never picked you up from practice" I replied.

He licked his lips and nodded.

"That's true.

As he reached for his glass of craft beer, he glanced up.

"I'm seeing double"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

He scratched his bearded jaw as he glanced at me.

"That's either her twin sister or the genes in the family are strong"

"Who are you talking about?" I questioned.

"Sonia"

Oh.

"It would be too obvious if you turned around"

True.

"So um did you book your flight for Vegas?"

"And the hotel" I replied.

"I was hoping you would stay with me"

"Oh I am, dad just had me book a hotel room for him and Ali" I explained.

He smiled.

"You could have started there"

I laughed.

"Its fun to see you squirm" I admitted.

He chuckled and reached for his napkin.

"When do you start school again?"

"The semester starts January 19" I answered.

He frowned.

"Darn"

"Why?" I questioned.

"I was hoping you'd come to Sweden with me during the All-Star Break"

"You know I would, but I have school" I replied.

My schedule for this upcoming semester was a weird one. I had class Wednesday and Thursday.

"I figured you'd got somewhere warm for the All-Star Break" I admitted.

He smiled.

"It's work-related"

Made sense.

"Sponsorship?" I wondered.

He nodded.

"That makes sense" I stated.

"You've been spotted"

I looked up as I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey" I greeted.

Sonia smiled.

"Hi, my little sister recognized Adrian"

Adrian offered her a smile before he proceeded to bite his sandwich.

"I've been meaning to call you, but I saw you and I figured I'd ask now"

"What's up?" I asked.

"I was hoping we could talk? I need some advice"

Uhh.

"Yeah, I've got an errand to run with Adrian but I should be done at around 7ish," I told her.

"Okay, I can come to you"

"I'll text you my address," I said.

She smiled and glanced up.

"Of course, I'll see you then"

I nodded and turned around to see a nearly identical replica of Sonia.

"My twin sister, Kenia and my little sister, Barbara"

The only thing that honestly differentiated them was that her sister had a blonde balayage.

"Before I forget," I said.

I looked at her.

"Congratulation" I stated.

"Thank you"

She had accepted the job offer and would work alongside my dad.

"Thanks"

She sighed and smiled.

"I'll see you later then?"

I nodded.

"See you later," I said.

She waved at Adrian before excusing herself.

"I take it she hasn't told her boyfriend she's not moving to Milwaukee?"

"Probably not" I replied.

That was her business though.

"How do you think he's going to handle it?"

The Christian Yelich I dated was a total drama queen when things did not go his way.

"It could go both ways, I'm hoping he will be supportive" I stated.

Adrian nodded.

"So there's this vegan restaurant I want you to try with me," I told him.

"That's like no animal-based products, right?"

"Yes," I confirmed.

"Who recommended it?"

"Stevie did" I replied.

"Is it the one she and Paul had lunch last week?"

I nodded.

"He said the food was good there"

The conversation was dropped and we went back to eating. On our way out, Adrian and I waved goodbye at Sonia who smiled in return. Once we were in the car Adrian cleared his throat.

"Do we really have an errand to run?"

I looked at him as he placed his hand on my thigh.

"Yeah, I've got to buy a dress" I stated.

He smiled.

"You've got time"

I laughed as his hand moved up my thigh.

"We're out in public" I reminded him.

He grinned.

"You love me"
